WELCOME TO THE BLUE SPRUCE RANCH!
Our dream home can be yours to rent! This 3 bedroom, 2 bath, cabin sits on 85 acres of beautiful horse land and is surrounded by only mountains and the Rio Grande River. It is the perfect place for a romantic getaway for 2 or a fun-filled vacation for a family (although the cabin can sleep 8, it is NOT recommended for more than 6 for optimum confort.) The master bedroom upstairs has a king bed, while the downstairs bedrooms consist of a queen bed and 2 sets of bunk beds. The cabin is fully stocked and includes linens as well as many condiments and extras for your use.
While you have heard about the wonders of skiing at Wolf Creek, the summer and fall months offer incredible gold medal fishing at your door step. We have half a mile of riverfront that has been featured on ESPN. If fishing is not your thing, try a rafting trip, book a horseback ride, hike in the Rio Grande National Forest (just across the river), play a game of horseshoes, or visit the quaint town of Creede for some shopping or to see a play at the renowned Repertory Theatre. Watch for the various wildlife we have on our property or feed the horses that graze in our pastures. The perfect way to relax!
If you visit us in the ski season, you can be at Wolf Creek in 30-40 minutes and then return to relax in our private and secluded hot tub on our back porch.
The address of our ranch is officially in South Fork but we have a Del Norte, CO phone number at the cabin. You can see its location on Google maps by using the intersection of Embargo Creek Rd & Posse Rd Del Norte, CO 81132. Switch to the satelite view and our property begins when you see Posse Rd become a thinner line - that is our driveway to the cabin. Follow our driveway to the house and you can view it and the Rio Grande from a bird's eye view!
We have owned this property since 1998 and have been renting the cabin since 2001. We have many repeat renters who we now call our friends. We invite you as well to experience our touch of heavan, the Blue Spruce Ranch.
