We've staying in this lovely home for a month two years in a row. We're planning to do so again next year. Enough said? OK, I'll say more. The home is in a very nice, new residential area called "Sector O", about a block from the main highway that parallels the coast. Its an easy walk to the highway to flag a cab, a short walk to the beach and beach clubs of Chahue, a little longer walk to the main village of La Crucecita or the commercial marina of Santa Cruz. Cabs are plentiful and affordable (two weeks ago a cab to La Crucecita was 20 pesos, about $1.25 US.) The home is spacious and comfortable. All of the bedrooms are on the ground floor. the living room, dining room and kitchen are in one large "greatroom" big enough to play tennis in. There's a very private back patio with a small pool, an upper deck with patio furniture and a gas BBQ (rare in Mexico) The home is well furnished and fully equipped. The only drawback to the home, and that would only be a drawback to people of limited mobility, is the amount of stairs.. There are 28 steps to the ground floor and another 20 steps to the living room. We didn't mind, in fact appreciated the exercise! Linda and Ale have a very nice home. We're glad they're willing to share it with us and maybe you.

Driving up to the house the first thing you notice is that the house sits way up on the hill, and with a large white wall around it security and privacy are virtually guaranteed. Perfect!Inside the front gate we were greeted to parking for two full size vehicles, wide white steps leading up to the house, large potted plants, and flowering bougainvillea. With lights in the parking area, all up the steps, along with the lights on the house, the view coming in at night was very pretty and peaceful.Inside the house is fantastic for a large family (we have three boys). All of the sleeping area is on the first floor. The master was large with huge patio doors leading out to the pool patio area. On the other side of the master is a large double sink washing area, dressing room, large full bathroom (with a triangular shaped tub!) and a laundry room. We liked the fact that closing two doors sectioned off the master part of the house (remember the 3 boys?!) and allowed some privacy. The other two bedrooms are large, open and airy. Both have patio doors, one leading to the pool area, one to the side of the house. In the hall between the two rooms is another full bathroom. The upstairs is one large open room with three patio doors leading to a balcony along the entire back wall of the house, and one patio door with a balcony at the front. At the top of the stairs is a small balcony (standing room only) with patio doors and a small bathroom to the side. All of the principle rooms and hallways had ceiling fans, between them and the patio doors we had no use for A/C. The house stayed cool all day and was perfect for sleeping at night. The house had all the amenities we needed; lots of towels, pillows, fully stocked kitchen (sorry about the coffee pot Linda), there was nothing we needed for.As a base it’s a great spot for jumping off on day trips, and will get only better with time. If you don’t mind walking almost everything is within walking distance, food, spas, beaches, marinas, even town isn’t that far away. If a cab is more your style they’re extremely common and $20 pesos gets you to town, or to Santa Cruz etc, or Tangalunda you decide. In the end the two weeks we spent were way too short, and as I look out at the snow I wish I was there again. Thanks for the wonderful house Linda.
