Welcome to our gracious family home. Built in the 1920’s, this fully restored, 3000 square foot plantation-era home can be your "home away from home" during your vacation on Hawaii’s Big Island.
Enjoy rural accommodations with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Mauna Kea, eight miles north of Hilo on the scenic Hamakua Heritage Coast, in the old sugar plantation village of Pepe’ekeo. This location is within easy driving distance of the Volcano, North Kohala with its outstanding white sand beaches, and Kailua-Kona.
Our home is set on two acres of lush, tropical vegetation and mature fruit trees. It can accommodate up to twelve people. There are four spacious bedrooms with ceiling fans and built-in dressers. Two bedrooms have double beds and two bedrooms have twin beds. There are two extra sleeping futons in the “sun parlor.” There is one full bath and one half-bath, with a second full bath in the basement.
Relax and enjoy the view of farmlands and the Pacific Ocean in the comfortable living room or adjacent “sun parlor.” Next door is a local landmark, Low Store, in a building originally built as a gas station in the 1920’s, and now converted into a convenience store and fruit stand. Here you can purchase many necessities, including fresh, locally grown tropical fruits. Low Store is also renowned for its island style shaved ice and plate lunches, made-to-order sandwiches, and fresh fruit smoothies.
If you like to "talk story," the owner of this property and Low Store, who has lived in Pepe'ekeo for 85 years and is descended from Native Hawaiians, can provide a wealth of information on the area and its history.

$150/night for up to four people.
$15/night for each additional person.
Minimum stay 3 nights.
Plus 4.166% General Excise Tax and 7.25% Transient Tax.
50% deposit to confirm reservation.
Balance due upon arrival.
Cancellation must be made 30 days prior to your stay for a full refund less $150.
