OFF-SEASON SUPER SPECIAL! ! OCTOBER 15-APRIL 15 $1000/WEEK. THIS IS FOR WEEKLY RENTALS ONLY, EXCLUDING THANKSGIVING & CHRISTMAS-NEW YEAR'S HOLIDAY WEEKS.
Prepare to enjoy the peace and serenity of this island retreat, and the amazing views of the Haro Strait, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, the Olympics and Victoria. Our spacious home is a comfortable 2000 square foot rambler, situated on four rolling acres overlooking the Haro Strait. Relax outside on the deck and watch the shipping traffic, or keep a watchful eye out for the deer, foxes, rabbits or raccoons that frequent the grounds surrounding the house, or let your eyes wander to the eagles, vultures, and hawks as they hunt from the skies above. From your perch above the Haro Strait, as evening approaches, enjoy the spectacular sunsets for which the west side of the island is world famous. As night falls enjoy the bright lights of Victoria and Port Angeles.
From late April through September look for the sightseeing boats speeding over from Victoria in search of our resident pods of orcas and other marine life. During these months, orcas often can be spotted from the house, as they travel up and down the West side of the island. For those who want a closer look at the whales, there are public viewing areas one-half mile away. Approximately a mile from the house is prime orca viewing at Lime Kiln State Park, the first park in the country dedicated to whale watching. There the whales may pass as close as five yards offshore.
Other favorite outdoor activities on the island include clamming, crabbing, kayaking, beachcombing, hiking and bicycling. All of these are less than 20 minutes away.
For the chefs among you, our home features a fully-equipped kitchen, centrally situated and facing the water. The master bedroom and dining areas are also situated to take full advantage of the views.
Our home sleeps six to eight people. It is furnished with one queen bed, two full beds, one full futon and one queen futon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our multi-family vacation in this comfortable home. We found it very clean and well furbished and the views and sunsets were stunning! The owner was very pleasant to work with, even calling to notify us of whale sightings. We saw whales three times, to our delight. We had a lovely, time exploring the island and wouldn't hesitate to return to this lovely home.

The three couples of our party were most comfortable in this home away from home for a week in September. Gracious amenities like antique furnishings, down comforters, plenty of fluffy towels & a thoughtfully stocked kitchen enhanced our stay. We enjoyed brilliant sunsets, long twilights & a sky dense with stars from the balcony overlooking the strait. By day, we watched the orcas play & by night, the lights of Victoria twinkled below the stars. It was quiet & peaceful, with deer on the back lawn some early mornings. The house was extremely clean, and equipment was available to keep it up during our stay. Our hosts left us daily messges about the location of the whale pods. They were available for any needs while highly respecting our privacy. They even searched the house for a lost piece of jewelry after we had left! The location was perfect for views, the country feel, and proximity to every place we visited on the island. The listing photos look great, but were surpassed by the actual property. We were totally pleased with our stay & would return to the same place in a heartbeat!

What a nice place. Very homey and comfortable. We were there for a week over the 4th of July holiday. We have stayed all over the west side of the island and this was the place that we will return to. The owners were so nice and we got phone alerts when the whales were sighted nearby. Prior to checking out this property, I inquired about another west side property on this site and didn't hear from the owner for over 2 weeks. I guess that was a blessing because this place was great.

My family and I stayed in this rental over Memorial weekend. It was a perfect home for families. There is plenty of space inside. Outside there is a large patch of lawn that is great for kids to run around on. The house is nicely located. It's a short drive into town and the view is spectacular. Prime whale watching is a 5 minute drive away. On our visit we saw a lot of wildlife including bald eagles and 2 different kinds of foxes. We enjoyed it so much we hope to return to the island in the future and rent this home again!
