  We enjoyed the view of the ocean early in the am..however, once traffic begins your semi-quiet coffee time becomes a noisey travel time. The bedroom is located in the back of the condo so the noise never bothered us. It was still chilly when we traveled in early April so the pool (wasn't heated) was too cold for us to use. The condo provided everything needed for your stay and more. Owner was very accommodating and kept us up to date on any issues with the condo. This condo is for sale and there are brochures in the condo indicating that. Overall a decent trip which would be okay for early risers and maybe an older couple not looking for a lot of amenities in the complex itself. The price was okay. We wouldn't go back only because of the noise level. Our trip was to search the area for housing and enjoy the beach views.

  Owner response: I get a lot of joy making Sweet Beach Retreat a special beach vacation home. I have updated it recently with new bright beach inspired colors, a new sleeper/sofa, a new washing machine, new flat screen TVs in the living area and bedroom. I make sure there is fresh like new linens and fluffy pillows. I especially like providing a pretty comforter with matching shams in the bright colored bedroom. It is a lot of fun decorating my condo. I seek out nice oil paintings and unique wall décor, like the two large aqua seahorses on each side of a large upscale mirror in the dining area. They were too cute to pass up! I have repeat renters who look forward to coming each year and I can't wait for them to see the new look. I had wonderful compliments before and know they will really love the new look. If the street noise gets bothersome, they close the heavy sliding glass doors that lead to the balcony which helps. I began renting my condo in '07 and have had many nice renters whom I thoroughly appreciate. It is my joy and pleasure to welcome them back as well as first timers. By the way, repeat renters get a discount!

  Really is a "Sweet Retreat". View is one of the best on the beach highway. Furniture is stylish and comfortable. Condo is equipped with at least one of everything you will need including a superior bar-b-que set. Walking distance to shopping and dining as well as just across the street from the beach. I WILL stay again. Jackie is a great host and has a wonderful property.

  This condo is looks exactly like it does in the pictures! It was just perfect for the 2 of us, but plenty room for another couple to share. Already talking about when we can go back! Thanks Ms Jackie!

  Owner response: It is my goal to provide the best possible condo for my guests. My cleaning lady is the best. She will not let even one crumb be left on the floor! I have recently painted it with bright beachy colors, pretty wall decor and a beautiful sleeper/sofa with bright colors, little fishes and other beach items. I make myself available to my guests during their stay so they will feel someone is there if needed.

  My husband and I stayed a week at the Sweet Beach Retreat and loved it! I loved the fresh beach colors, and the "sea" themed decor. It was spotlessly clean and we appreciated the well-stocked kitchen utensils & cute dishes. We sat on the balcony a lot and enjoyed the ocean view. We tended to drive to the beach, as crossing the highway on foot was a challenge, but that just gave us a convenient way to have ice cream every day! We liked having the undercover parking, too. My husband is an avid cyclist and the Back Country Trail was a nice surprise. I enjoyed walking the trails, as well. We live in Iowa, but had family reasons to be in Alabama. We don't know when we'll be back, so we will cherish the memory of this trip to the Gulf!

  My wife and I had a great time staying at your condo we arrived on my birthday, which was a perfect start for another year. It was very clean and spacious for the two of us and the view from the balcony was great. It was stocked with everything that we needed during our stay. It was a short drive to some great restaurants and nightspots and loads of beautiful beaches. We would definitely stay at this condo again and have recommended it to several of our friends already. Also finally talked my wife in to going para-sailing and sailing with me. She loved them both, but she really had a great time doing a sunset sail on the 4th of July. So next time down we may spend more time on the water than on the beaches. Thanks again

  I was amazed when we walked in as to how clean the unit was! It was wonderful! Everything we needed was there! A washer and dryer, bath towels, dish soap, and internet! And I slept wonderful! The sheets were crisp and clean! And the view!!! WOW! Definitely the best place I've stayed at the beach! Its so convenient to everything! Would LOVE to come again!

  We loved you condo! It was in a great location and very clean. It had everything we needed and just enough room for our family. The beaches were not as bad as I had thought they would be. We didn't have much time to swim and play since we were playing baseball. But the kids did make time to crab hunt on the beach and swim in the pool. For anyone who might be thinking of backing out on the trip to Orange Beach DON'T! The beach really wasn't that bad and the locals need our support! Thank you for letting us stay in your condo!

The ones who have rented since May have told me they enjoyed their stay in spite of the reported problems with the beach and water. Potential renters for Orange Beach and Gulf Shores need to know they can still have a great vacation. This area is still a wonderful God given gift to us. Come to the beach!

  Condo is cute and extremely clean.(I am very picky about this!)My kids really loved sleeping in the bunkbeds and enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching all the cars go by.The kitchen had everything we needed including dishwashing detergent and dish soap. Loved the fact the boat launch was in the back of the condos and we could park a jet ski on premises.(This is hard to find!)Ms. Jackie is very easy to work with and takes great pride in the condo. You can tell as soon as you walk in. Would definently recommend this to anyone looking for a "sweet retreat". Thank you for allowing us to stay at your great condo.
