We spent months looking for the perfect place at Wintergreen Resort, outside of Charlottesville, VA. The most important thing to us was a spectacular view, not just one from the living, kitchen and dining areas, but the master bedroom and bath as well. Our views will knock your socks off. We also wanted to be close to the golf course, spa, fitness center, tennis courts and just to be able to walk for the 'health' of it. We can do all these things on the ridge (which has amazing views of Lake Monacan and the Valley below), and the many hiking trails nearby!
The next thing that was important to us: new construction, modern appliances, tiled baths, and attractive décor. We have always been sure to maintain our condo to a very high standard. We have yet to go into our unit and have it not be in excellent condition. Of course, you will have contact information in your Rental Contract , though, so you will know whom to call should any housekeeping or repair problems arise.

We try hard to keep both up to date, but do check back as things can change.

To give you an idea how nice this condo really is, a D.C. couple came to stay one August. They really knew Wintergreen as they had honeymooned there: they were so taken with our place--they bought it!! They have been too, too kind and have let me hang around to look after things. Best of all, they always invite us to stay in our 'old' condo ourselves when we can get there, so we can see for ourselves how great it continues to be. They have recently renovated the unit with new cabinets, granite, tile, kitchen and bath fixtures, carpeting and other upgrades. Come stay and see for yourself what we all like so much about our slice of heaven.
RATES
SKI-season (December 1st to March 31st): for ALL ski-season reservations and rates, please call Wintergreen Resort, which handles those rentals exclusively, at 800-266-2444. Ask for unit 1822*
Non-Ski IN-season (Memorial Day weekend to October 31st): is $495 for a 3-day weekend; $495 for 4 days mid-week; $795 per week.
Non-Ski OFF-season (November, plus April 1st to Memorial Day weekend): a 3-day weekend is $395, 4 days mid-week is $395; $695 for a week.
There is an additional Cleaning Fee paid as part of the Rental Contract; any Dog Fees are also paid as part of the Contract. For all non-ski season rentals, there is 3-day minimum.
*There is a long list of amenities that I will be emailing to you that the Resort can provide which we can't. In past years our ski season rental rate was lower than theirs, but because of the economical conditions that presently exist we can't compete with them.

- The condo is within easy walking distance to tennis courts and golf. There is a shuttle to ski slopes, Mountain Inn, etc., in season. The ridge affords a pleasant, scenic walk to the Highlands ski slope (15-20 minutes) and the Mountain Inn (40 minutes). The Unique Benefits at this Condo
The view is amazing, even from the master bath jacuzzi! It's also handy that the spa, golf course and tennis courts are close by and in walking distance. The chic new cafe, the Black Bear across the street serves Starbucks-caliber coffee, sandwiches, snacks and entrees and has large TVs, fireplace, atmosphere galore. The Black Rock Market by the Mountain Inn is a great market, too.

My name is Peter Cole and I am the owner’s representative. I wear many hats: an oceanfront, resort, rental condo owner; property manager; rental agent; dog tender (That is Woody in the picture. Spends most of his day in the chair across from my desk watching me work.) and favorite; loving husband. As a Medicare-card carrying senior, I look back over a full life. My chosen life ‘occupation’ (my mother could never bring herself to call it a job) was to take teens on cross-country camping trips; 3000 teens in all, spanning 33 years. My nephew Doug slipped into my shoes as I slipped into my retirement. My friends and relatives worried about my having too much time on my hands in retirement so they gave me their resort properties to manage. My reputation as a good manager/agent grew. Now, 14 properties fill my stable. It was 1967 when I took ownership of my first rental property. In the years since, we have bought and sold 11. I come to you with a lot of experience. This was our second stay at the condo and we enjoyed it as much as the first time. The condo is clean and comfortably decorated with lots of nice amenities. The views are wonderful especially at sunrise in the mornings. The condo is located close to the spa and pool. Parking is conveniently located right outside the door so it is easy to unload and load. We will definitely return!

My husband and I just spent the weekend here and had a wonderful time. This condo is such a cozy place to relax and has wonderful views of the mountains. Everything you needed was there as far as cooking, laundry, etc. They even made sure you had wood available if you decide to use the fireplace. There is honestly not one bad thing about this place. My husband and I would like to return to Wintergreen in the winter to go skiing and tubing and would love to stay here again. Thank you very much for sharing your beautiful home with us!!

We're on our last night at this beautiful condo in Wintergreen. Wow -- have we enjoyed ourselves! Over the years, we've stayed in so many different places in Wintergreen -- but this is our favorite, by far. We absolutely love how welcoming and comfortable it is and are hoping you'll let us come back sometime this summer. The view is incredible!

We had such a wonderful stay this past weekend in your condo. My teen age daughters simply fell in love with the place and our two pups loved the easy access in and out to the back patio to do their business. What an exceptional view all around. Preparing a meal in your modernized kitchen was a pure delight. When they say you have thought of everything - you have! Loved the heated bathroom floor in the main suite and the very homey decorated space. We will definitely stay here again and hope to make it an annual thing. Thank you so much for ensuring we had a great time and a very restful experience - it was exactly what was needed.

This was our first trip to Wintergreen. The condo was lovely, it is spacious, clean, and modern. The views from the master bedroom, dining and living areas are fabulous. It is well equipped and very comfortable. We enjoyed the resort which was lively and fun. The staff at the resort were extremely nice, the Snow Patrol were excellent on the slopes. We found the shuttle service around the resort really useful too, We had an excellent skiing weekend at this condo. Communication with Peter, before, during and after our visit was very good, clear, informative and very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be contacting you if we visit Wintergreen again!

We had a wonderful stay at your lovely condo. It was a real treat to breakfast on the large deck while taking in the magnificent view and the sunshine. The kitchen is so well accoutered that we were able to prepare three omelettes simultaneously. The beds are very comfortable. The living room furniture is also very comfortable, and its arrangement in the sunken living room is conducive to conversation. We enjoyed scenic hikes in the Humpback Rocks area and on the Old Appalachian Trail in Wintergreen, and we had a nice visit to Monticello. We were treated to some amazing stargazing on a clear early morning, and a gorgeous sunrise as well. Thanks for the use of this tranquil retreat!

We stayed at this condo with our two pre-teen sons for a few days of skiing in January. We had previously stayed in Wintergreen, but this time wanted something with a view of the mountains. And this condo sure does have a view! Not only is it spacious, it has a wonderful "open" feel. Everything is new and modern and so comfortable; it was perfectly clean. The kitchen has everything you need for preparing meals and staying in after a full day on the slopes. It was so relaxing to sit by the fire in the evening! We would certainly recommend this condo, and would choose to stay here again.

We're returning home to Florida after a wonderful two months stay at your lovely condo. Everything exceeded our expectations. As tennis players we enjoyed meeting and playing with owners and visitors at the club as well as the great hiking and sightseeing opportunities in the surrounding mountains and lovely cities. The home is decorated and furnished in a warm, comfortable manner and nothing is missing. As hobby cooks we enjoyed preparing our meals in a perfectly designed kitchen with all the pots and pans, utensils, glasses and china. Many thanks for your hospitality, we will certainly want to rent from you again in the future.

This condo was very clean and well maintained. The view was wonderful and the ground floor was great for sitting outside. The master bedroom was unbelieveable. We stayed there to attend a lacrosse game at UVA. We went to the game, we went to Monticello, we shopped in Charlottesville, and we went to a winery. In addition, we hiked the VERY well marked trails of Wintergreen. We enjoyed a pork barbecue sandwich at the Blue Ridge Pig in Nellysville and a delicious homemade pastry at the shop next door. The Restaurant at Devil's Knob is first class. Yes, I would recommend this condo and area to friends.
