This spacious home is directly on the WATER...PEACEFUL...TRANQUIL...PERFECT FOR RELAXING.... it is newly remodeled with vaulted ceilings and quartzite floors throughout, you can truly get away from it all. We sit directly on a sea wall, overlooking the beautiful ocean and secluded North Shore beaches with spectacular unobstructed views from the door of nearly every room. This home has been tastefully decoracted with a touch of Hawaiiana and beautiful tropical landscaping.
Miles of golden sand, quiet beaches and pristine waters, filled with tropical fish and green sea turtles, this location is truly a rare find!! Public Beach Access to miles of unspoiled beaches is just a short walk from the house in either direction (an eighth of a mile). We are 5 minutes from the lovely historic town of Haleiwa. Here there is a harbor, restaurants, art galleries and local food markets, still preserved in Hawaiian style. You are just 30 minutes from Pearl Harbor and about 20 more minutes into Honolulu/Waikiki.
Beautiful sunsets are the perfect way to end another day as you let the sound of the ocean put you to sleep. Fall in love with Paradise time and again!
NOTE: Owners divide their time between the island of Maui and Oahu for work related reasons. Occassionally we have the need to stay on property in our small studio apartment which is designated for our use only. This studio is on the 'road side' of the house and has its own separate entrance from the main home. We are very quiet and keep to ourselves unless you need something, we are always happy to be of assistance. Please see our owner profile below. Mahalo! Mahalo!

Just finished our two week vacation at this beautiful property! We had a wonderful time, the house is just as it looks in the pictures and very clean! We had the use of the washer and dryer and the kitchen was great-everything you could think of ...coffee maker, blender, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, and all kinds of pots and pans, bowls, cutting boards, spice cabinet, etc. etc. The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms fully stocked with towels, blow dryers, and a few beach towels as well. The back yard is beautiful and relaxing with a grill and plenty of seating. The sounds of the waves crashing against the sea wall helps to lull you to sleep at night. The house also provides a couple of beach chairs, boogie boards, all kinds of water shoes, snorkel equipment and the beach is a short walk down the road..... We had a wonderful vacation and highly recommend this home. I hope to return in the near future!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This house was excellent!! As soon as we arrived my family and I felt the aloha! The backyard view was breath taking. The house was spacious, and well kept . from the backyard you can see the sky divers in the sky and watch sea turtles.. You can even go snorkeling right in the backyard with beach access of just 8mins away. they also had a bbq grill that was available for us to use, snorkeling gear, and boogie boards. and overall we had such a great experience!the small town of haleiwa was less than 12 minutes away.. There you can find a local beach, famous matsumotos shaved ice and a longs drugs, if you drive up more you can also reach foodland and waimea beach park. Upon arrival the furniture was moist, not sure if it was steamed cleaned, but it made sitting down a little uncomfortable. Also when your in the north shore make sure to bring bug spray, a couple of my family members including myself got a few mosquito bites.. Not sure how they got in the house with the screen doors closed, but I guess that's expected in hot moist weather places. The house also had dishes , pots and pans , beach towels, bath towels and the owners were even nice enough to leave us toilet paper and sunblock. Very very accomadating :) two rooms in the house had ocean views and the most comfiest beds.. The drive to Honolulu was about 50mins. We would definitely stay here again if we decide to stay in the north shore. Since most of the activities we wanted to do we're in Honolulu and Waikiki the house was kind of far for us, other than that our family has made great memories. The owners also respond very quickly with any questions you may have.. Such friendly people. :)Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: A special "mahalo" for staying with us for your Family Vacation. Yes Hawaii does have a very benevolent climate with a little more humidity than most people are used to but that is what makes it so green, lush and beautiful. The North Shore is a quiet reprieve from the big city of Waikiki and we are so glad you enjoyed staying there. We hope that when you plan your next trip to Oahu that you will keep us in mind as we would love to have you back again. Much Aloha, The Quigley’s

Many thanks for the use of your home for our mid-April family reunion. It is, as I am sure you know, a stunningly beautiful place, in a location that could not be any better. Having never visited Hawaii before, I was initially looking at Waikiki area hotels for our 9-day visit, and only thought about using a vacation home when our group expanded from 6 to 10 people. Well now, that certainly turned out to be a smart choice ! While Waikiki Beach itself is a very pleasant day trip, the hotel strip is another story (unless you really enjoy noise, diesel fumes, bumper-to-bumper traffic, parking hassles, and the company of other tourists ). Looking back over our time there, I think there is very little need to travel away from the North Shore - everything you would want to see or do is available within a short distance of your home. The range of beaches are a dream come true, and all the shopping / services are in Haleiwa. Thoroughly memorable. Many thanks,Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Mahalo and thank you for staying at our special oceanfront home for your family gathering. Yes, the North Shore is definitely a quiet getaway in terms of what you would normally find on Oahu. Please always think of us when you dream of another week in paradise as we would love to have you back again. Much Aloha, Rebecca & Patrick

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us in Hawaii. The North Shore is such a beautiful place to come. Your home enabled us to have all our kids and their family come and join us. It was such a treat. We were all able to do our own special thing. Horeseback riding, shorkeling, sky diving and . . . . we especially enjoyed the private and quiet beaches (loved watching the sea turtles all along the way). Will come again hopefully someday soon, but for now, it's back to wintertime in Alaska. It was a wonderful experience, Thank You Again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We have been here for 10 wonderful nights in paradise. It has been an experience of a lifetime. The North Shore is all that we ever hoped Hawaii would be. We explored every inch of this island and took over 1,000 pictures between us. The weather was great and the local food was fun to try . . . from shave ice to shrimp trucks. This home was wonderful, clean and well supplied. Our family of 8 had ample room. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all fantastic as was the living area. Everything was as described on the VRBO website and the pcitures posted were all extremely accurate. Home to Canada today but leaving with great memories. Mahalo Patrick & Rebecca for helping our dreams come true.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We loved the house in Mokuleia! We created memories that will last a lifetime and nothing beats being right on the water on the North Shore. We had everything at our fingertips, from washer/dryer, beach toys, boogie boards, and even a rice cooker (thanks Rebecca!). Having said that, there were a couple areas that weren't exactly as described, and although they weren't detrimental or anything to our trip, I think it is worth noting for others: * The Master Bathroom does not have a door for privacy. It also does not have a spa tub. The other full bathroom (non-Master) had the spa tub. We had planned between 6 adults and 2 children to split the bathroom assignments, but in this case it didn't really work out for us. * The house is on a septic system. For us city folk, we weren't exactly sure how to deal with that 5 minute shower limit. We were just very on edge on how much water (washer, showers, sinks, dishwasher) was being used and a little scared of screwing it up. Of course we didn't, it just wasn't something we were comfortable with. * We are from the Bay Area. We recycle, compost, you name it. There wasn't any clear direction on what to do with recyclables (if the garbage service sorted, if you took it to a facility, etc), so we didn't know what to do with our compost/recycle. Maybe just a note of how different garbage is handled. * The photos above that indicate that there is a Queen Oceanfront (non-Master) and another (non-Oceanfront) King in fact, the Oceanfront room (non-Master) is a King and the other (non-Oceanfront) room is a Queen. This did cause an issue with one of the couples, but just BEING there seemed to work it all out without incident. * As with ALL waterfront homes, you have the chance of "friends" showing up. In our case it was in the form of unexpected pests that were hanging out in the oven. Not a big deal but be aware. We bought a couple traps and never saw our friends again. This home is definitely well maintained, and you can tell that the owners take quite a bit of pride in it. I work in corporate hospitality so certain things will stand out to me that others may not even take notice in (like the bed sizes). I would absolutely, without a doubt stay here again. We loved, LOVED that it was off the beaten path. We loved the open floor plan, the sound of the waves, the beds that were so comfortable after a long day exploring the island. Rebecca- you are a joy and were great to work with. Mahalo!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: We are truly glad you had an Amazing Time! My husband and I work very hard to keep our oceanfront property in top condition and we update our website often to keep it as accurate as possible. Thank you for pointing out some of the unique items you found at our home and we would like to take a moment to explain to you and future guests why you may have felt those things were worth noting: SHOWER/SPA TUB: we were recently diagnosed as having a severe water leak underneath the spa tub in the master bathroom. We had to remove the tub, fix the plumbing and decided to convert the tub into a walk in shower with grab bar. Over the years we have had many guests with elderly family members wishing that we had a walk in shower for easier bathing. Since there is an existing spa tub in the hall bathroom, we felt that this would be an opportune time to convert the master tub to a shower. The past few guests have loved it. Yes the 2nd bathroom is inside the Master Bedroom Ensuite. While the bathroom does not have it’s own door, the Master bedroom does. BEDS: We thought it was nicer to offer guests the 2 king size beds in our oceanfront bedrooms. RECYCLE: this information is found in several places; our Guest Information Book, Departure Instructions and “House Rules”. PESTS: our home is treated quarterly by Terminix and they will come and attend to any issues at the house. SEPTIC: most homes on the North Shore are on a septic system. That is explained prior to anyone booking my home as it is in our Rental Agreement. I have never had any guests in the past mention that the septic was a problem or a challenge. Since we are directly on the ocean, we like to “think green” and take proper care of our septic system. To all our guests, we want you to know if there are ever ANY concerns while you are at the house , please phone us immediately so we can explain and/or correct things for you right away. Our phone numbers and alternate numbers are posted numerous places throughout the house. We want your Hawaii Vacation to be an incredible memory and we are always happy to be of assistance.

Rebecca was so kind and accommodating. Without her, our vacation would have not been the same. I actually found her on Craig'sList and was a little skeptic about doing business. But as soon as we communicated and when she referred me to this site, I knew she was legitimate. The house is enormous! A total of 8 of us lived comfortably in that home. The backyard is breathtaking because the ocean was right there. However, we were a little disappointed that the beach was not exactly in our backyard. We actually had to go around the block through a public entrance in order to be at the beach. But that was the least that bothered us. Just imagine hearing the waves crash the shore as you sleep at night. PARADISE :) Love, love, love the house and Rebecca. I'm definitely coming back to her upon my next return. My Missourah boy fell in love with a little gal from Oahu! So when the time came to tie the knot in her home town, my husband & I, our parents, our kids, his sisters and niece all decided to co-habitate for a week in this lovely home. I am so satisfied with this decision. North Shore was perfect for us. The home gave us plenty of room; the ocean view/breeze was fantastic; shopping in nearby Haliewa, beach-hopping and sky-diving were favorites! Rebecca was super to work with, so patient with my many questions! Unfortunately the door lock code changed before 11:00 departure time and we were unable to do that "last sweep" before we drove off; so I would suggest being very careful on that last day so you don't wind up locked out accidentally! Other than that, we loved our North Shore home! It was an unforgettable experience---MAHALO!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The property was very well described and completely lived up to the pictures. There is tons to do and see in the area. We bought groceries at Costco and the Kalama market in Haleiwa and did almost all of our own cooking. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. We used some of the beach gear, boogie boards and surf shoes. There was a lot of wind but only a few stray showers during the week. The breeze through the sliding glass doors at night was heavenly. The best beach is about a quarter of a mile away, past Camp Mokuleia. We walked there often and took jogs along the road by Dillingham airfield. There is another beach that is just a couple blocks away. We would recommend a rental car for your entire stay as some of the other north shore sites would be hard to miss. The house was very clean and well maintained. The only glitch we had was that the door code quit working about two hours before check out time, luckily we weren't all outside when that happened. Great recommendation for this property.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Pictures and listing accurately depicted the location. Home is spacious and comfortable for our group of 6 adults and one baby (greatly appreciated the use of the baby stuff!). Also appreciated the use of the boogie boards and beach stuff. Owners were very helpful. Location was great! Minimal traffic, felt private and secure, enjoyed watching the skydivers landing in nearby air field. Home was right on the ocean with beach access a few houses away. Loved being on this end of the island away from the bustle of the city and touristy beaches. Lots to do in the area.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
