Though available for rent separately, one of the unique features of this property is that you can have a large group of people in close proximity.
The Main house called "COTOCKTA" (the Indian name for this area of the island) has four bedrooms and three baths. The dining table, tough tight, can handle 12 people for family meals. There is a master suite with a king-size bed located on the second floor. Separated by a balcony you will find too smaller bedrooms, sitting room, and another full bath. The views from all room are of the upper harbor of Wauwinet, sunsets, and the Coatue Wildlife reserve on the opposite side of the harbor (about a one and a half away).
The first floor of "COTOCKTA" has a kitchen, dining, living area with fireplace that is separated by the foyer from the guest bedroom (two twins) and full bath. There is also washer and dryer on this level.
Off the living area is a large deck, lawn, and access to the harbor beach.
A short walk across the driveway or lawn will bring you the the small, two bedroom house called "CACHALOT" (another name for sperm whale). This was built in 2006 and has a lower level with foyer, playroom with ping pong table, and the guest room. The guest room has two twin beds and full bath. This level does not have water views.
Upstairs is a large Kitchen, dining, and living area. Very comfortable for entertaining the large group from both houses though the dining table will only support six persons comfortably. We find that a buffet and eating on laps works well here. Or maybe cocktails here and dinner in the other house. Many options.
This level also has the Master bedroom with king-size bed and large master bath. Out the living room door is a large deck and this level has great views of the harbor and the sunsets.
