Located on its own palm-fringed cove, beachfront townhouse # 2 at the Keauhou Kona Surf and Racquet Club is one of less than a dozen beachfront condos available in the entire Kailua-Kona area. This is an oasis to put on reef walker shoes and explore the home of Hawaiian sea turtles or to spread out beach chairs or mats and share some first-class beach time with those you love. Keep an eye out for all activity out on the water—fishing boats, outrigger teams practicing, pods of spinner dolphins and, in the winter, Humpback whales.
The area once populated by ancient Hawaiians was a particular favorite with the Ali’i (Hawaiian Chiefs). The petroglyphs and heiaus are striking testimonials left behind by their civilization. Within walking distance is a swimmers’ and snorkelers’ delight, Kahalu’u State Beach Park, alive with colorful tropical fish and foraging green sea turtles. Snorkel gear and food are even available right on the beach.

Plentiful and relaxing artwork, reflective of Hawaiian heritage, decorates the walls, and beautiful 18 inch porcelain tile sets off the whole interior. The one of a kind walnut TV/VCR cabinet houses assorted videos, tapes, a stereo and free Wireless Internet access. Free Long Distance phone calling to the U.S.A., Canada and neighboring islands has been added for you as an added bonus! We also have Air-Conditioning as an option (fee).
The kitchen offers all the amenities and appliances, including a ceramic top stove and side by side refrigerator with in-door water and ice dispensers. A second bathroom is conveniently located downstairs. Mornings and sunsets become memorable experiences from the tiled lanai. RESORT INFORMATION - Keauhou Kona Surf and Racquet Club Resort is a four-star resort located oceanfront near Kahalu'u in the Keauhou area of Kailua-Kona, Big Island, Hawaii - approximately four miles south of the Kailua-Kona Town Center or the Kailua-Kona Pier. There are 197 total units with one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units located oceanfront, ocean view, fairway front, and fairway view.
The Keauhou Kona Surf and Racquet Club Resort is located in the center of the Kona Coast, the Keauhou area is known for calm winds and warm, sunny days because it is located on the leeward side of Mauna Kea, the 13,796-foot-high (above sea level) mountain that is the highest point in all of the Hawaiian Islands. In fact, if Mauna Kea's height is measured from its base (18,000 feet below sea level), it surpasses even Mount Everest as the world's highest mountain (31,796 feet) Before modern times when the trade winds were blowing cold winter air down from the northeast, the Hawaiians would travel to the Keauhou Bay area for shelter and warmth.

This is no front desk at the Keauhou Kona Surf and Racquet Club Resort and many of the other units at the resort are rented directly by owners, like the condominiums on this website, while others are rented through local property management companies or the owners do not rent them at all. After dreaming of owning an oceanfront condo for years, we saw this beachfront location and fell in love. Months later, townhome # 2 came up for sale the night before we were flying to the Big Island. It was the first availability in 10 years! Needless to say, we were ecstatic and were fortunate enough to purchase it immediately!
The Unique Benefits of this Condominium
A unique benefit of our townhome # 2 is waking up, looking out our floor to ceiling oceanfront windows and watch the surf rolling into our cove area. We can sit on our beachfront lanai and walk out to our grassy strip of grass, walk out the pathway directly in front and continue to the beach to explore the reef and even find a turtle or two sunning themselves. We are adjacent to ancient Hawaiian grounds and heiaus also fascinating to explore.
