Welcome to the Terravita Golf and Country Club in the high Sonoran desert of North Scottsdale. Our guard gated community is located just across the street from the Boulders Golf Resort and Golden Door Spa and just minutes from the charming towns of Carefree and Cave Creek with fabulous restaurants, art galleries and loads of southwest charm. Terravita is an award winning community with natural desert landscaping, over six miles of walking trails and resort style amenities.
Terravita is one of the few private clubs that allows renters temporary membership(fees apply.) This allows you access to the clubhouse, restaurant, bar, view patio, pool, spa, tennis courts, fitness center, personal trainers, massage therapy, and allows you to play the private award winning golf course all within walking distance of our vacation home!
Our home is a Vallis model (approx. 1700 s.f. )and has two bedrooms, two baths plus a den, laundry and two car garage. We are also within walking distance of the Terravita Marketplace and El Pedragal with restaurants and shopping.
The entry courtyard faces north to views of Black Mountain. The private fully fenced backyard is south facing and backs up to a natural arroyo. There is a gas kiva fireplace, BBQ, outdoor covered dining area, lounge chairs and umbrellas. The backyard is landscaped for privacy complete with accent yard lighting.
The living room has 12 foot ceilings, gas fireplace, 42" flat screen HDTV, DVR, DVD player, and stereo/CD player. There is also a queen size sleeper sofa. The den is furnished complete with a desk, printer/fax and WIFI - just bring your laptop! And the fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal at home.
The large master bedroom has a king bed, TV/DVD, Jacuzzi bathtub, separate walk-in shower, double sinks and walk-in closet. The second bedroom has a queen bed, TV and walk-in closet.
The home includes a water softener and osmosis drinking water system. There is extensive use of travertine flooring throughout the house and the windows have sunscreens and plantation shutters.
Activities: The Scottsdale area has over 150 golf courses, world class restaurants, shopping, art galleries, hiking, spas, and over 330 days of sunshine a year! We are a two hour drive from red rocks of Sedona. There are many cultural activities in the area including outdoor concerts and the Heard Museum at El Pedregal shopping center just across the street.

We currently live in the Pacific Northwest and love having the ability to escape the rainy cold weather!
Why the Owner Chose Terravita
We fell in love with the the natural desert beauty of this area, with views of The Boulders, Black Mountain and the mountains of the Tonto National Forest as a backdrop. The higher elevation (2,500 feet) keeps this area cooler then Phoenix making it pleasant here year round. We also enjoy having the charming towns of Carefree and Cave Creek just minutes away!
The Unique Benefits of this House
We immediately liked the community of Terravita with it's resort style amenities, walking paths, golf course and beautifully landscaped community spaces. The location of our home is such that we are able to walk to the Club House and swimming pool. Plus we are also walking distance to the Terravita Market place and el Pedregal shopping center with a grocery store, restaurants, and many unique shops. El Pedregal hosts a series outdoor concerts and wine tasting events in the winter.
