While on vacation no car is necessary... a short walk or a "taxi aquatico" will get you just about anywhere... usually in less than 5 minutes.

THIS HOME WAS WAY MORE THAN I EXPECTED. THE VIEW WAS JUST BEAUTIFUL AND WENT ON TO THE VOLCANO IN THE DISTANCE. THE LOCATION ON THE HILLSIDE GAVE YOU AN OPEN FEELING AND YOU COULD SEE EVERYTHING . THE SAILBOATS MOORED IN THE LAGOON, THE TOWN OF BARA AND PARTS OF THE GRAND BAY HOTEL WHICH IS SPECTACULAR TO SAY THE LEAST AND ALL WITHIN A SHORT WALK. THE HOUSE WAS VERY CLEAN AND THE POOL WAS FUN CAUSE YOU CAN SEE THINGS GOING ON IN THE TOWN OR THE BAY AND NOT LEAVE THE COMFORT OF THE POOL AREA. i WILL COME BACK TO THIS PLACE FOR SURE.

Spent 16 days in the latter part of Feb early March. The photos of the villa show what it is like. The master bedroom is very large and has a private bathroom, shower etc. The 2nd bedroom is roomy and has it own entrance to the main washroom. Kitchen is large and open and has everything one needs. The place was very well kept and maintained. The weather was great so the pool was used everyday. They are a few small stores close by to pick up items that may have been forgotten. There is also a few restaurants close to the property. A short boat ride across the lagoon and you are into Bara. This place has everything else you need. Car rentals if you wish to take a tour of the surrounding area. After a day in Bara or else out touring, it was nice to come back to the comforts of the villa. I have plans on going back in 2011 and would recommend this to anyone.

This was our 4th trip to Manzanillo/Barra de Navidad. This was the first time we stayed in Colimilla. Four of us stayed at Casa Tomkat in Feb. 2010. Despite the first two days of unseasonable rain - Casa Tomkat was PERFECT! We were fortunate to have the entire property to ourselves. The amenities were as described, fully equipped kitchen, gas BBQ, plenty of lounge chairs & beach towels, etc. If you can, definitely ask to stay at the Main house. The property was clean and the on-call caretaker was very helpful and spoke english well. The town of Colimilla was very friendly from the restaurants serving excellent food to the friendly skippers on the pongo boats to Barra. This property is located next to the Grand Bay Hotel. I communicated with Kate the owner and she was very helpful, friendly and answered my many questions in a timely manner. We would definitely recommend this Villa.
