Accommodations:  Mountain Cabin, 4 Bedrooms + Loft, 3.5 Baths (Sleeps 8-10)

We built The Mountain Majesty, our vacation home in the mountains, as a place to get away and relax with family and friends. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do. Our home was brand new as of June 2007, and beautifully furnished and decorated. We find it hard to leave the peace and quiet, the fresh air and friendly people of North Carolina, but for now, we can only hope to get back as often as possible and meanwhile hope that others will enjoy it as well.

Multi-layered year round mountain views, with each layer a different shade, we've tried to show you some of the many variations on our WEBSITE, as well as photos of the many things to see and do on short day trips, SCROLL DOWN to the "LINKS TO MORE INFORMATION" section to go into our website for additional info.

The views are fantastic, truly panoramic, multi-layered year round big views - 50 mile views of the Blue Ridge and Mount Mitchell. We are oriented west for awesome sunsets that change every night. Early mornings can bring mystical vistas with low lying clouds and mist enveloping the mountains and valleys.

Enjoy the rockers and slider on the various decks, the main deck is covered. Three of the bedrooms have private balconies for some privacy or quiet place to read a book away from the rest of your party. The master suite has an extra long bathtub to stretch out in and soak.

We have a wonderfully central location, right off of Interstate 40 with lots to do and see within an easy 30 to 40 minute drive. We hope you enjoy our favorite place to do it all or nothing!   • Dear Barbara and John, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful house with us. We travel every year from Germany to a different state in the US to visit them all before we travel "upstairs". Your house in the mountains is definitely the place to be in North Carolina: very clean and spotless, with a cozy atmosphere and great porches and rocking chairs to relax and just watch. We went there early October and every morning the mountains "dressed" differently: in sunshine, fog or rain, all beautiful! Thanks again!

  • What a terrific property this is! The cabin is great, with a well stocked kitchen, luxurious linens, and beautiful views of the mountains. This is more like a home, than a rental property. There are a lot of added touches that make it comfy. The owner did a great job with giving you lots of opportunities to interact with local attractions.   • We have a lovely time in The Mountain Majesty. The residence alone was great and very well equipped. The views were spectacular. Our young children had a ball playing in the game room, while we enjoyed lounging in the rockers. We were able to take day trips to enjoy Tweetsie Railroad, NOC Whitewater Rafting on the Broad River, the Linville Caverns, and Grandfather Mountain just to name a few. Memories that will never be replaced! Thank you!

  • This is our second stay at you wonderful mountain home and the second trip was even better than our first time at your home!!!! The views from your wrap around porch are even better than we remembered from last year. You have furnished this home FIRST CLASS!!! It has the feel of staying at a five star resort, but with five times the views of any resort that we have ever staid in!! The sunrise and sunsets are just breathtaking and we could not wait to get up and have our coffee on the deck in the morning and then wait for the sunsets in the evening with a glass of wine!! You have a wonderful place and thank you for all the extra comforts that you have included in your home!! It really made it hard for us to leave and on the way home we were both planning our next time to come back and enjoy your special " Mountain Majesty " home. I don't think that you can have a much better testimont that having repeat customers that just cannot wait to return!!! The home, the furnishings, the extra touches and the views all make this a FIVE STAR retreat!!! If you want to come and " recharge your batteries" this is the place.
