My husband and I just returned from our vacation in Maui. We stayed in this unit and it couldn't have been better. The view is amazing. The sunsets are like nothing I've ever seen. Snorkeling right in front of the condo was better than the snorkeling trip we paid for. The condo was very clean, looks exactly like the pictures. It was very warm the week we were there, but we left the front door open and a fantastic breeze came through which kept the condo cool and comfortable. The unit is well stocked with everything we needed right down to the boogie boards. Larry, the manager, keeps the grounds neat and clean. I saw him every morning cleaning out the BBQ's which got a lot of use the week we were there. As far as activities, we went jet skiing one afternoon which was a lot of fun. We highly recommend that. Snorkel in front of the condo with the turtles which are daily visitors to the beach. In fact, one was sunning itself on the sand on our own "private" beach. The beach was practically empty the whole time with the exception of other vacationers who were staying in the building. Jackie was very helpful and promptly answered all questions we had before our trip. All in all we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Sure there are resort areas, but if you want to get away from all of that, avoid the big crowds, the resort fees and the parking fees, this is the perfect place to escape. We can't wait to visit again and will definitely be looking forward to staying in this unit.

Comfortable Condo

This was our third stay in this clean and comfortable condo. The view, location and private beach have drawn us back year after year. The complex is beautifully maintained and the condo well equipped and very comfortably furnished in a Hawaiian theme. The owners take great pride in their home and each year add upgrades. They also provide extra touches like a welcome gift bag, soap, shampoo, etc. which make guests feel welcome from the time they walk in the door. Mahalo Jackie and Jon. We'll be back and will recommend A202 to others.

Jer and Lioa said: July 27th, 2010 1:16 pm This is a great condo. It is well equipped and nicely furnished. The location is fantastic. It is beachfront and the lanai is maybe 50 feet from the ocean. Few condo's we looked at had such close access to a beach as nice as this with such affordable rates. We had coffee on the lanai every morning and then went swimming and snorkeling. We saw turtles everyday, all day from our lanai, sometimes as many as 3 turtles about 10 feet from the shore! We also saw rainbows and wonderful sunsets. We had breakfast and lunch at the condo and had great dinners at area restaurants in Lahaina and especially Roys which is 1 mile north on State Highway 30. The sounds of the waves and the ocean breezes were great each night. We really hated to leave. Mahalo Jackie and Jon!

When we arrived we were greeted with an amazing view of the sunset from the lanai! The condo was fabulous - nicely appointed, everything you could possibly need is there at your disposal. The pool and grounds are impeccable - the beach is secluded and we were able to snorkel and see the turtles that live there....it was amazing! I dealt with Jackie (unit 202-A) to set things up and finalize our stay - she was great to work with and very accomodating. We actually ended up staying an extra night last minute! The condo is a great size, good kitchen, bathroom, living room - has everything you need. The grounds are awesome too - very secluded with what feels like your own private beach and pool. good sunsets and grilling area. tutrles love our beach! they are always swimming around. this place is def beach front and i personally think great value. you can pay the same amount for a hotel room but dont get nearly the amount of space. plus its nice to have the option of cooking and making lunches. Overall, i highly recommend this unit and condo - my sis stayed in unit 307-A i believe, and it was also very nice. Jackie was great and the place is very well kept - if you can, def book this place!

We had to make last minutes change from the hotel to condo, we were so happy that we made a change. The owner of the unit was very helpful. The unit itself was very clean right, it was right on the ocean. We were able to look at the islands of Molokai and Lanai from the lanai. There was a private beach that we took a walk every morning. It was very relaxing that we did not want to go anywhere. We will be back again.

It is simply a true Gem in Maui. My wife and I stayed at unit A202 for 6 days and we had so much fun there. Our best treat was sleeping in the sofa bed in the living room with the sound of the waves at night. Highly recommended. This is our second stay here and we have already made our reservations for next year. This place is perfect. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai watching whales, turtles, rainbows and sunsets. This was our first trip to Maui and we feel so fortunate that we were referred to Jon & Jackie and their beautiful condominium at the Hale Mahina. It is a one-bedroom unit, and is very nicely appointed in the decor of the locale. The pictures we saw on their website were not an overstatement of the appearance and quality of the unit. It is well stocked with nearly every item you might need. We made much use of the Ipod dock (There is also a nice flat screen TVâ??but we were hooked on sunsets!). The best part, though, is the ocean. The lanai looks directly out onto the ocean. The view includes the following: three tall palms, sunsets, spouting and diving whales, a private beach, a well-manicured lawn and grounds, sailboats, kayakers, and a private beach. Sounds of the ocean waves can be easily heard in the condo because the ocean shoreline is about 30 feet from the building. We were so pleased. Hale Mahina is in a great location. We drove north 10 minutes or so to snorkel in Honoluau Bay (only 5 minutes to eat dinner at Royâ??s). Driving 5 minutes south, we enjoyed the beach at the Kaanapali resorts; 5 minutes more to Lahainaâ??many great restaurants, the harbor for whale watch departs, and shopping. There is a Farmerâ??s Market in walking distance from the condo. We really enjoyed our stay on Maui and our accommodations added much to our experience.

Guestbook Comment: We were fortunate enough to be a guest at Hale Mahina this summer. Early one morning we were able to speak with Jon Pizinger and his wife Jackie as they were maintaining the grounds which are beyond immaculate. They were filling in as the Managers there and were both tremendously kind.They own Unit A-202 which we were able to see...this unit is beyond beautiful and the view..incredible! They answered any and all questions we had as to what to do and where to go while on Maui. They were beyond gracious and very helpful! It was as though we had our very own concierge!

All we can say is Thank you Thank you Thank you! Your wonderful home was so comfortable and welcoming and was just perfect for our anniversary getaway and first trip without our children. We could have easily stayed at any hotel in West Maui, but we really wanted to feel the comforts of home and A-202, and Hale Mahina in general, had all that and more. Every day we watched whales spouting and breaching in the distance. We enjoyed watching the sea turtles play and we even had a chance to see one come to shore on several occasions. The sunsets from the lanai were breathtaking and the sunrises were just as nice as we watched the sun come up on the neighboring islands. One morning we even had a chance to see a beautiful rainbow. We can not say enough about our time in Maui and a lot of pleasure came just from staying in your beautiful home and relaxing on the beautifully kept grounds at Hale Mahina. Everything you promised in your advertising was there and so much more was realized once we stepped through the door. We thank you for opening your home to us and we will definitely be in touch the next time we travel to Maui. Mahalo!

We have been staying at this resort since 1986 and this unit by far is the best. From the time you open the door and go "WOW" you will be spoiled and very comfortable. The owmers, Jackie and Jon have thought of everything, even suppling you with all of the cleaning supplies, down to a supply of shampoo, conditioner and lotion.The grounds are beautiful and the ocean is a few steps away. If you want a truely wonderful unit call Jackie, she is wonderful to work with.

Comment: I had read comments on the internet from a previous guest regarding a beautiful wedding coordinated by Jacqueline.While there we were able to watch the most Beautiful and Romantic Sunset Wedding! Followed by a second ceremony which was a 50 year vow renewel! It was so touching...I do not believe there was a dry eye among anyone there! We spoke to the Happy Couples after the wedding and they told us that Jacqueline assisted them with all....and that everything was perfect! We hope to return to Hale Mahina and renew our vows! We will certainly be calling Jackie to assist us!

Not only do you get the wonderful views, beach front, warm breezes, refreshing pool and great snorkeling, it is all topped off with a condo that is as comfortable as our own home. You get a comfortable breeze that flows from the time you open the door to the unit all the way through to the double doors that open to the lanai, all while hearing the ocean waves. I will say that was one of my favorite moments of each day was waking up (I will say the bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!) hearing the waves and enjoying coffee out of the lanai. This place is so tastefully decorated with every convenience imaginable! I would not hesitate for one moment to stay here again! Thank you for our wonderful vacation. May 4-12, 2008

The week we stayed in paradise and were married on the private beach just in front of A202. Jackie and Jon planned out every single detail, the minister, the license, the cake, flowers, music, etc. I would never travel to Hawaii and say anywhere other than their condo. When you first open the front door, you instantly take a deep breath. You can see all the way through to the ocean. You can hear the ocean all night as you sleep. To wake up in the morning and sit on the lanai with a cup of coffee and breakfast to start your day is more than we can describe. The condo has every thing you could imagine. Jackie and Jon have a wealth of information about the island and are more than willing to assist. If you stay here, please take care of this beautiful home as we can't wait to come back.

Hale Mahina unit A 202 translates the natural beauty of Maui into an interior decor that yields an atmosphere of peace, luxury and richness of island design. The spacious condominium meets all your needs for convenience and also indulgence. You will not be able to decide whether to enjoy the wonderful interior or spend all your time on the lanai, gaping at the knockout ocean view, including sunsets, white-crested surfs and rainbows.

Having stayed there in several occasions in other units I can honestly say I will never stay in any other unit other then A202 again!!! I booked directly from the owner who recently purchased and completely renovated the unit. It is absolutely paradise you don't even have to go outside! The entire process was so amazing she was so easy to work with. The owner Jackie was so Knowledgeable and helpful. She even went as far as helping me with who to fly with and what to do, who to rent a car from, and most important where to eat! Not to mention the pictures of the unit and the view are not exaggerated! THIS UNIT SCORES A PERFECT 10 IN MY BOOK! one more thing, she even leaves a gift basket!!!!!!!
