Great Pocono house for rent in a very secluded location. 3 Bedrooms, a loft (with satellite TV) and 2 full baths. House sleeps 8 to 10 people with a large fireplace in the living room and a deck fireplace for cozy campfires under the stars. Minutes from Big Boulder, Jack Frost and Camel Back Ski areas. Home features fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, stereo, TV and DVD. There are numerous things to do including exploring beautiful and historic Jim Thorpe. a quaint Switzerland like Victorian Village set in the heart of the Lehigh Valley and surrounded by mountains on every side. The town is currently undergoing a renaissance with many new shops, stores and restaurants. The town offers year-round activities for all ages and hosts numerous cultural events, fine restaurants, and an excellent array of shopping opportunities.
Numerous paintball fields are available for the more adventurous as well as horseback riding and hiking through the numerous trails of the many state parks nearby.
GREAT FOR GETTING AWAY FOR THAT RELAXING, ROMANTIC WEEKEND. This very clean three bedroom, two bath, modern house is located at the end of a cul de sac with only 1 other home in the immediate vicinity. Our comfortable home is very well maintained and professionally cleaned before each visit.
Our house is comfortable, IMMACULATE, and tastefully decorated with all new appliances. The living room has a cathedral ceiling with a beautiful wood burning fireplace, 1 Bentwood Rocking chair and 2 large, comfy (sofa-bed) couches. The loft has 2 skylights, a 27” satellite TV with DVD, an FM stereo with CD player, and a nice coffee table and comfy couch that opens to a sofa bed.
The master bedroom has a Queen Size bed and large closet with a full-bath. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan, closet space and dresser. Twin beds are in place in the other two bedrooms. Warm flannel sheets are on the beds for the winter and cool cotton sheets are on the beds for summer comfort.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you will need to prepare and enjoy your meals, including dishes, utensils, pots & pans, can opener, coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. Just bring your food and you’re all set. There is a sliding glass door that leads to a large deck that is great for lounging on the chaise lounge and comfortable deck chairs during those crisp winter days and nights. Enjoy the use of a propane BBQ grill and relax in the evenings with the outdoor fire-pit during those chilly nights. The small deck on the front of the house is great for sitting with your morning coffee or tea listening to the chickadees singing in the trees and watching an occasional dear, chipmunk, or rabbit walk by.
We supply many extras like firewood, cleaning supplies, soap, paper products, linens, towels, pillows, extra blankets, alarm clocks an iron and ironing board, games, DVDs and more.
Sorry, but we prefer to keep our house allergy-free, clean, and looking new, so there is absolutely NO PETS and NO SMOKING.

My family and I are repeat renters at this location and we enjoy it very much. We look forward to visiting it again this Fall. It's a great location and there is plenty of room for a family get away weekend.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Do not stay here. The house is a mess, the down stairs bathroom was moldy, the sliding door out to the deck was broken and laying on the ground when we arrived. The owner advertised a gas grill, which was there but did not work. The only T.V. was small and the Satellite was not hooked up. One of the bedrooms smelled of urine. the matresses where old and cheaply made. I have used VRBO all over the country and have never stayed in a place that was this dirty. We had a good time in the area but the house was a huge dissappointment.Owner response: PLEASE IGNORE THE AUGUST 13, 2012 REVIEW. This review was posted by a disgruntled renter who is seeking retribution for the withholding of a portion of his security deposit for damage to our property. Please know (as noted in the other reviews posted for our listing) that his claims are entirely false and without merit.

Had a great weekend in this very comfortable home. Although we went into Jim Thorpe and visited the outlet stores nearby we would have loved to have had more time to just sit next to the fire place and read.
