  Wet and dreary Yachats, WHAT A WONDERFUL TIME TO BE AT THE COAST! For my wife’s birthday, I treated her and our family, (us, 2 daughters, son-in-law and granddaughter) to 4 days on the Oregon coast in Yachats. We were looking for a property that had a full view of the ocean, to be able to watch it, to hear it. We selected this house and could not have been more satisfied. We got all of this and more with what seems to be one of the best properties on the Oregon coast. The location, literally just a stones throw from the ocean, was quiet (1 block off the 101) and even with the nearby houses seemed secluded. Access to the beach was just a short walk and the miles of uninterrupted beach were empty. It is amazing to sit by the fire, watch and hear the ocean in your backyard! We were treated to a great display of the power and beauty of the ocean. The last day we stayed was the King's tide (highest tide of the year). The house is sparkling clean, neat, well maintained and appointed. One can tell that the owner takes great pride in this house. There are many opportunities in the area for walking, hiking, running, sightseeing or just lounging by the fire, but honestly, this home is situated in one of the best, if not best for all these activities and more. There are 3 lighthouses with-in a 30-minute drive and an out of the way covered bridge. The town of Yachats offers some great dining experiences. I recommend the Drift Inn, Luna Sea and of course the Adobe Inn restaurant for places to have very good meals, or you can eat in with food prepared in a fully equipped kitchen and have your dinner watching the crashing surf out of the windows or on the patio. As each time we visit Yachats on the morning of our departure we stop at the Blue Whale and have breakfast. We couldn't be happier with this vacation rental and our Yachats stay.   "My husband and I spent an anniversary weekend at this property, and it was wonderful! The house was clean, cozy and comfortable, and the owner was friendly and accessible. The whole-house music system is a really nice feature. The view from the kitchen/living area is spectacular, and feels very private even though there are neighboring houses. We brought extra firewood because we wanted to have the fire going all day (be sure you have the flue open!) There's plenty of antiquing and restaurants in nearby communities on the coast, but we really preferred just relaxing at the house. We would absolutely recommend this property and want to go back for a longer stay - and might even let our children join us next time :o) There's plenty of room, and nice separation of space."

  Visited on a rainy weekend this fall and had a good time at the beach, with 4 adults and 1 child. the house was clean and as advertised. the deck and kitchen overlooking the sandy beach. I would recommend this house to future guests, and may consider going back !

  What a great place. So well equipped, clean. and the beach was so accessible. The music system throughout the house was lovely! The bedding was a tad worn, but that was OK.Everything else was just fine!

  My family (2 adults, 3 children) stayed here for 2 nights in July. It is a beautiful home, just as pictured. We really enjoyed our stay. It is right on the beach with beach access just one house to the north. I could watch my daughter playing on the beach while I sat on the back porch and read. I loved watching the surf. It has a very calm, private feel. I would love to come back!! I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to visit the Oregon coast. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Thank you for sharing your home!

  Our family spent 5 nights here and had an amazing time! What a great place to spend a few days. We saw whales from the window and even a sea lion right in front of us on the beach. The home is very very nice. It is clean and well maintained and it is located in the perfect spot from which to site-see the Oregon Coast. The owner was very nice and accomodating. We could not have asked for a better place to make great memories with our family. We would give this the hightest recommendation and would love to return! What you see in the photos is what you get and then some. Outstanding!

  Our family just spent a week together at this wonderfully situated home on the beautiful Oregon coast. The views are incredible from every room! We even saw some whales! Very private with quick access to anything you would need. Boys enjoyed golfing in Newport and Florence. Great floorplan. We read, ate, walked, played games, ate again, and really, really enjoyed ourselves. We should have booked 2 weeks. Everyone wants to come again. Thank you so much!!

  WOW! The view is beautiful. We had the most fantastic vacation in this home. The beach access was so easy. We enjoyed the clean, spacious home. It was so relaxing to sit in the evening watching the ocean and listening to the waves. It was a wonderful time. If you ask my kids what the best part of the trip was... they will say everything. Thank you!

  We stayed at this wonderful place from April 24-29, 2008 and I have to admit that this place is at the top of our list. It has so many amenities that there are to many to list. What more could you ask for but the fact that it is right on the ocean with views from every room in the house. Our son who is a Chef in Portland came out and joined us for 3 of our days there. The internet weather showed showers every day that we were supposed to be there, but we lucked out and had great weather and amazing sunsets. We hope to make this our family retreat next year. If any one is looking for a great place to stay on the ocean this has to be it!!!!
