Fresh seafood markets are within a 30 mile drive in both Florence and Newport. Get fish straight off the dock in Newport and bring it back to barbeque on the deck by the ocean. Nearby Yachats and Waldport (3 and 5 miles away) offer antiques, delis, espresso (done right!), bakeries, full service groceries, and don't forget the Yachats Ladies'Club ice cream social!
The 804 trail along the rock in Yachats connects with the beach in front of the house offer an idyllic walk into town while you enjoy the waves (at low tide). Cape Perpetua (4 miles) offers interpretation of coastal features and woodland walking trails. When you return, warm up in front of the fire while you watch the sunset over the sea.
The fully equipped kitchen (bring your food) includes a dishwasher, stove, microwave/convection oven, coffee grinder and maker, and full ocean view. You can also enjoy the ocean view from the eating bar, or use the pass-through window to the deck and fully experience oceanfront cooking and dining on the deck. There's a mini-market one half mile south, or use the crab nets in the garage and catch your own at the dock in Waldport (5 miles).
The house includes three bedrooms(queen bed, full bed, and a set of bunk beds), two full baths (one shower, one tub/shower) and two living areas (one with fireplace, one with satellite TV and video (VHS & DVD). The second-story "crow's nest" room perfect for that ongoing jigsaw puzzle, a quiet read or for a better view of the whale migrations.

Our family spent 5 nights here and had an amazing time! What a great place to spend a few days. We saw whales from the window and even a sea lion right in front of us on the beach. The home is very very nice. It is clean and well maintained and it is located in the perfect spot from which to site-see the Oregon Coast. The owner was very nice and accomodating. We could not have asked for a better place to make great memories with our family. We would give this the hightest recommendation and would love to return! What you see in the photos is what you get and then some. Outstanding!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Our family just spent a week together at this wonderfully situated home on the beautiful Oregon coast. The views are incredible from every room! We even saw some whales! Very private with quick access to anything you would need. Boys enjoyed golfing in Newport and Florence. Great floorplan. We read, ate, walked, played games, ate again, and really, really enjoyed ourselves. We should have booked 2 weeks. Everyone wants to come again. Thank you so much!!

WOW! The view is beautiful. We had the most fantastic vacation in this home. The beach access was so easy. We enjoyed the clean, spacious home. It was so relaxing to sit in the evening watching the ocean and listening to the waves. It was a wonderful time. If you ask my kids what the best part of the trip was... they will say everything. Thank you!

We stayed at this wonderful place from April 24-29, 2008 and I have to admit that this place is at the top of our list. It has so many amenities that there are to many to list. What more could you ask for but the fact that it is right on the ocean with views from every room in the house. Our son who is a Chef in Portland came out and joined us for 3 of our days there. The internet weather showed showers every day that we were supposed to be there, but we lucked out and had great weather and amazing sunsets. We hope to make this our family retreat next year. If any one is looking for a great place to stay on the ocean this has to be it!!!!

We had a wonderful time. The location is one of the best on the Oregon coast. The house is so fresh and clean and comfortable with phenomenal views of the ocean. The beach access is so easy with miles and miles of beach to walk and enjoy. We will be back!

Everytime we've stayed we've had a wonderful time. Rain or shine this is a relaxing place to be. Watch a storm coming in or whales swimming by on a sunny day, there is always something to see. The house itself is newly remodled and comfortable and the beach access is one of the easier ones in the area. My favorite activity is walking amoung the tide pools of Seal Rock Park at low tide.
