I rented this home with my husband, Dad and one of my best friends. All three of them had not been to Costa Rica and so I was excited to take them there. When we drove up to the house after a 2.5 hour drive from the airport, we were welcomed to the most wonderful villa I have seen. Estela was there waiting with homemade guacamole and yummy drinks to tour us around the house, show us how to work lights, air, etc. Our master bedroom was just the most amazing room, bed and view there was. From the minute we sat down for a cocktail outside by the pool I was sucked into relaxing and enjoying Manuel Antonio. The kitchen (for my friend who used to be a chef especially) was so well equipped, everything you need to cook amazing meals. We had chosen to have Chelsea Brandau (and her sous chef David) cook for us 4 nights and 4 lunches and her food was incredible. AND wow can she bake a cake! The villa was really the most amazing villa we have stayed in. We loved the maid service and the care taker who swept all common areas every day and made sure that the home was pristine the whole time we were there. I felt like a celebrity all week we were there. Estela and Kent were available for anything we needed! If you are looking for a lovely villa, great service, wonderful pool and breathtaking views of Manuel Antonio this is the place. Oh and the bed was soooooo comfy!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The villa was gorgeous, exquisitely furnished and boasted a fantastic view. The entire staff was friendly and eager to meet our needs. The pictures on the website do not begin to describe the magnificent setting of Villa Vigia. Set on a hill above the Manuel Antonio beaches, the floor to ceiling windows offer a panoramic view of the coastline. While the property and house are inviting, the heart of the villa is the wonderful staff. Their dedication to Villa Vigia and the comfort of their guests exceeded our expectations. Damien & Greg the concierges provided a memorable vacation. Chelsea the chef individualized the menu to suit our needs and even taught our son how to make crepes and pit avocados. We would be remiss not also mention Auxiliadora, the shy and efficient housekeeper. We ziplined, jet skiied, rode ATVs and toured the park. After each activity we looked forward to returning to the Villa to sit around the pool, enjoy the terraces and relax. Of course, we did not have to worry about securing a lounge around the pool. We have spent too many vacations struggling to secure lounges at crowded hotels, with so called butlers who never seem to materialize. This was the most relaxing vacation we've had in years. Villa Vigia captures the perfect balance between tropical elegance and inviting comfort. The views both inside and out were more amazing than the photos. The concierges helped make our vacation as effortless as possible and all their tour recommendations were great. We LOVE Villa Vigia. It's a fantastic, luxurious, and private getaway. We've stayed here several times, and cannot wait to return. The views and pool are amazing, and the food is truly excellent. We especially loved Chef Chelsea's terrific desserts! The entire villa is sumptuous, spacious, and extremely comfortable. A perfect getaway. Love the sunset tower! Villa Vigia combines the most amazing views of Manuel Antonio with a spectacularly elegant house. Every room in the house has an amazing view of the ocean and jungle. We have seen a wider variety of wildlife from the pool than on any of the tours we have taken. Greg and Damien were wonderful hosts and provided for our every need.
