Enjoy the beauty of Bucks County while sleeping in the oldest home in New Hope. It is a Historic landmark, located on the banks of the Delaware River. Located right in town, so you can walk anywhere in New Hope, or cross the bridge and you're in Lambertville, NJ.
The house has all the charm of the 1700's, but has been updated for your enjoyment. There are fireplaces in both bedrooms, as well as the family room and living room.
The house is a perfect "get away" for a long weekend or vacation lasting weeks. The house works well for four people, but you can put the fifth on the sofa bed in the family room.
Each of the bedrooms have comfortable bed with views to the river. The family room has the "Lazyboy" for those afternoons of just lazying around and enjoying the sounds of the river.
You are a 20 minute ride to Princeton, and New York City is a little over an hour away by train. But remember, you do not have to leave the area. New Hope and Lambertville have numerous antique stores and of course the famous flea markets. There are many charming restaurants that you can walk to and the walking trails are just at the end of the block..

Amazing historic home in prime location!

We stayed at this property in late-November 2011. It is a delightful historic house situated in a prime location in downtown New Hope, PA. The rooms have been decorated with loads of interesting items and artwork. There is even a vintage record album collection with a working turntable in the living room! I can't say anything critical about the house... it was fun, intriguing (there are ghost stories about this property!), and relaxing. The only challenging thing for us was parking. One reserved space is available at a private lot a few blocks away from the house, but we had a second car and needed to shuffle cars between parking spaces. As a tourist-town, New Hope has parking meters everywhere with money expected until 9pm everyday, including holidays. Aside from the parking issue, this is a charming place to stay and the memory of spending a few days in the old stone house in New Hope will last a lifetime.
Owner response:We are delighted that our renters enjoyed our historic home. We try to keep it interesting for all to come and see. With regards to the parking. We have one space reserved in a private lot up the street from the house. If I would have known that parking was needed for two cars, I would have arranged to have a second permit. This cost for the second permit would have been passed on to the renters, but I would have worked to arrange it for them.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, girls getaway.
