Aloha and welcome to "Lehua" The Beach cottage. A classic Hawaiian beach front home built mid century. The home is located on the last sandy beach front location on the south western shores of Oahu.
This beach House cottage will take you to a time of yesterday, when time slowed down. Life takes a simpler feel and nature becomes a part of you, as lived by past generations of Hawaiian ancestry.
Your visit to Lehua in the Hawaiian Islands is all about relaxation. Walk the always uncrowded sandy beaches, whale or turtle watch from the shores, swim directly our front, snorkeling, surfing, or just taking in the ambiance of the day, we are sure your time at the beach house will be filled with the aloha of the day. Don’t be surprised if a monk seal graces your presents as it is very common at the beach house. Please give them space.
The beach home provides direct access in front of the home. Your own private beach access to miles of shoreline and sandy beach is just a few feet from your patio/lanai. From the home and grounds the views of Waikiki, Honolulu skylines, Diamond Head Volcano, and the vast Pacific Ocean can be seen from most rooms at "Lehua".
The home is situated with a grand living room with open beam ceiling, a spacious full sized kitchen (full stocked for your cooking and dining enjoyment), and three bedrooms for your holiday enjoyment. A wall of windows to the pacific will fill your senses with the beauty that is Lehua. Just outside the sliding glass door gentle trade winds blow most of time on the shores of Ewa. A covered patio, dining table and a gas grill will surely bring out the gourmet chief in you.
The furnishing decorated in casual yet festive décor, perfect for casual relaxation at the beach house. Bedding accommodations include, 2 queen beds, and two twin beds for your sleep arrangements. Some of the amenities for your holiday home, are multiple TVs, CD player, DVD player and stereo are included. The trade winds blowing offer cool days, however dual A/C,s is also included. The home comes fully stocked with all bedding, and bath linens provided as well. The essentials for your home away from home are provided for your holiday on the beach. Beach chairs and recliners are included, ready for your enjoyment on the sand.
The home is centrally located on the island of Oahu, 17 miles from the Honolulu airport and 24 miles from Waikiki, just 30- 40 minutes from most locations island wide.
The historic town of Ewa Beach is little town with the big town feel. Complete with stores, shops, restaurants, large chain super markets and local style dining as well all within 5 minutes.
Don’t miss our World class golfing within blocks (6) courses, or shopping at the Waikele outdoor mall with Coach, Ralph Lauren, Anne Kliene, and many more name brands to shop your day away, just 20 minutes away.If Resorts are a favorite of yours, the Ko Olina Resort and Spa with its three lagoons, spectacular golf course, and Resort is just up the road as well. The spacious grounds are covered in grassy walk ways. The property is gated for your privacy and lush palms surround the grounds thru out.
For larger groups we also have an additional guest house that sleeps 4 people if needed. Thank you.

Just returned to "real life" after a great vacation. The Lehua house was about perfect. Very clean, quiet, and peaceful. Close enough to the "attractions" without being surrounded by the crowds. Hard to find a better way to enjoy a cup of coffee, than sitting on the Lehua wall, watching the sunrise, toes in the sand just feet from the surf. Be sure to say "Hi" to "Tammy the Turtle" for us (named by my 12 yr old daughter). The turtle came ashore three nights in a row. Just plain cool. Must check out the Polynesian Cultural Center, Ko'Olina Ocean Adventures, and pay your respects at The Arizona Memorial! We were not disappointed. Thank you Rick and Danielle for sharing Lehua with us. We would book Lehua again without hesitation. Mahalo

The house was perfect for me & my 3 adult children. I am originally from Hawaii, and have a family home there that my father, brother & his girlfriend & their son live in. We wanted to stay near a beach and entertain some of the kids cousins. The house was perfect for that. The back yard was right on the beach, so the atmosphere was really good for a Hawaiian vacation. My oldest son brought his girlfriend and 2 kids. This was their first trip to Hawaii, and they enjoyed running in & out of the water, and also playing in the sand. The owner, and property manager were attentive to our needs, and the house was very clean. The only down side that I can see, is that there was only 1 bathroom in the house. There was another toilet facility, though, that was in the laundry room that was adjacent to the house, so that worked out well. I would definitely rent Lehua again, next time we come to Hawaii as a family.

Our family stayed here in November over Thanksgiving 09. We had an absolutely wonderful time and can't wait to return we are planning our next trip as we speak. We were there for 10 glorious days and that was not enough! You can't imagine the Aloha spirit you get from staying at this location. Ewa Beach is truly a hidden secret. I have mixed feelings about posting our wonderful experience, we don't want too many people to find out about this!!! (hehehehe) Would definitely recommend this to anyone, families or honeymooners this is suitable for anyone wanting a wonderful Hawaiian vacation!

I just come back from Hawaii. We stayed at Lehua for 8 days and it was just like a paradise. The rooms are decorated very tastefully , very clean and espicially the view from house is amazing!! We really had a really great time and enjoyed staying at Lehua. Thank you , thank you, thank you very much! I will definitely go back to Hawaii and stay at Lehua again!! Again thank you very much for giving us a nice vacation!

This property is in a quiet residential area. The neighbors were friendly and always shared a wave to us. I like the idea not being in a hotel, being able to prepare our own food, parking next to our room, not having to make a trek to our car. We enjoyed the peaceful sounds of the waves and the view of Waikiki. It is off the beaten path away from the cement jungle of downtown Waikiki. Fort Weaver Road can be difficult during rush hour especially during its current construction expansion. But you're on vacation...why travel during rush hour? The kitchen is original but practical and included everything you would realistically need to prepare meals. The beach was great for the kids to play in the sand during low tide. At high tide they enjoyed splashing in the waves on the "smaller" beach. We will return again. It was a very peaceful vacation.

We spent 11 nights on Oahu in late February 2008. It was an excellent vacation punctuated by our stay at Lehua. The house is exactly as described by Rick in this ad; it's an older, very well maintained home that sleeps 6 comfortably, as long as there are two people in each of the two queen beds. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare and serve all meals. The living area is very large and leads directly onto a small covered patio, which then leads out to a manicured lawn, from which you step directly onto the sandy beach. The water, at high tide, is maybe 40 feet from the living room windows. We snorkeled and boogie boarded right out front. There were LOADS of fish only twenty feet offshore. We frequently saw turtles and once even shared the beach with a monk seal sunning himself. Obviosuly, we enjoyed our stay. Rick was friendly and helpful, quickly resolving 2-3 things that came up during our stay. We hope to return soon.
