Pelican Hill - is a super-clean single family home ideal for a family vacation. Furnishings are elegant yet casual and designed to make you feel right at home. The master bedroom/bath are upstairs with the living room, dining room, and full kitchen. Two additional bedrooms are downstairs on the first floor with full bath.
The second floor is fronted with a wide balcony with a great view of the ocean - the perfect place to start your day with breakfast. Pelican Hill is just off Matanzas Avenue - a public access ramp - which provides driving, bike riding, or walking access to beautiful St Augustine Beach. The beach is a 2 minute stroll away.
To watch the sunsets, the house has a two-story deck on the back accessed from the master bedroom on the 2nd floor. The 2nd level of the deck is at the roofline which is actually higher than the treeline.
Enjoy the sights of St Augustine and the remarkable dining (recommendations available) - and Orlando Disney is an easy day-trip away.

My wife and I reside in Brooklyn New York. I was raised in Tallahassee, Florida and have always enjoyed my visits to the area. I introduced my wife to St Augustine some 20 years ago - and she was hooked! We jumped at the opportunity to own a house here and visit often.

The best part of St Augustine is its sense of history. That means no condominum towers, no obtrusive development near the historic district, and residents who really care about preserving a certain slower, quieter way of life.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The View. As soon as I walk into the living room and see the ocean stretching to the horizon, the tension, worries, and rush-rush feeling .... just melt away. The proximity to the beach: it takes about 3 minutes to walk down the driveway and to the beach - which means I still have plenty of morning coffee for my stroll along the shore.

Oh, the vacation was too short! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pelican Hill. The house is fully equipped for a relaxing, comfortable stay, and was impeccably clean. It's just a short walk to a beautiful, wide, uncrowded beach, and close enough to see and hear the water from the balcony. I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly the neighborhood residents were, whom we met while walking our dog, or on the beach. The owner, Bill, was very responsive to all our communications before and after our stay - we didn't need him at all during the stay because everything was perfect!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, age 55+.

just got back from 5 nights. super clean place. we all felt right at home. I know it was a good vacation because my wife never mentioned coming home a day early to catch up on things.... I miss spending my afternoons sitting on the deck watching the water. the only thing I'd change is to swap out one (or both) of the full size beds with a queen (or king) but we managed just fine. great time!!!!!

Our stay at Pelican Hill was delightful! The house is well-maintained and has some extras you won't find in all rentals. The kitchen is equipped with everything you'll need to cook all your meals. The decor is lovely.The owner is friendly and easy to reach, and helped us out when we accidentally locked the keys in the house! The walk to the beach takes only a minute or two and the neighborhood is super friendly. We enjoyed evenings and early mornings on the large lanai. The only issue may be that the bed in the master bedroom is actually full size, not queen, but comfortable nonetheless. A+ property!

Excellent location: very close (one block) to the beautiful beach, 5 min drive to grocery stores, 15-20 min drive to St. Augustine downtown, quiet location, nice ocean view from the second level. The house is well-equipped with almost all things you need, has spacious rooms and central air, nice option for dining outside. Good for a couple or a big family. We would rent this house again.

My family and I (6 adults) stayed in this property and from the minute we arrived we were very impressed with the house's decor and furnishings. Everything in the house worked perfectly. The upstairs porch was every-one's favorite spot with view of ocean,wonderful ocean breezes and beautiful sunrises. The owner definitely takes pride in his home and it shows throughout. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need or think of. It's like staying in your own vacation house away from home. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to friends and family. I also would like to thank the owner Bill for being so helpful and accommodating. It's not often you get an owner be so accessible and concerned about making sure your stay is an enjoyable one. He listed all his emergency contact numbers and told us he was a phone call away and too not hesitate in calling with any concerns. Now that's what I call Service. Everything is a short drive or bicycle ride away. From tourist attractions, groceries, restaurants, hardware stores, drug stores, hospital, gas, department stores and souvenir shops. A truly great location being far enough away from the all the traffic and noise but yet close enough to everything. My family and I spent a wounderful and memorable time and will be coming back in the future.

We had a great visit enhanced, in no small part by Pelican Hill. Sunrise on the Porch, short walk to the beach, resources to meet all of our needs. We found the kitchen well equipped, and beach chairs/shade available. The cable even let us watch our game on football saturday. thanks for a great time.
