The gourmet kitchen centers around a one of a kind, caste-in-place, concrete topped round table for 12 kitchen, Vulcan gas range and extra large commercial stainless appliances. Outdoor living space abounds on the Brazilian redwood promenade deck, & 2nd observation deck with wet bar. Complete the experience on the ocean view rooftop patio with wet bar (great for viewing the Bay fireworks display every Friday night during the summer). 45 minute drive to 2 Mexico border shopping and sight-seeing areas.

Enjoy the best weather of the year here on South Padre Island during the months of September, October, November, & December. Our family spring break was a fun filled week! The children loved the bunk room. It was an slumber party every night. The view from the deck was fantastic. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub at the end of the day. The bikes were used everyday. It was a nice touch for the older children. They went exploring every day. The best part of our week was that we were on the quiet part of the island. The crowds were all down at the south end. We all came home rested with wonderful memories of South Padre Island!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers.

My family consists of me, my 3 children, their spouses and 5 grandchildren ages 18 mts to 6 years. We lost Grampy (my spouse, their father and grandfather) in 2008, so we understand how precious family time together is even more now than we did in the past. We visited "Dos Suenos" the end of June. The original plan was to spend a week. Hurricane Alex cut our visit short. We were all very sorry to leave so early. The home was beautiful. We had unnecessarly packed the back of the pick up with all kinds of beach toys so the kids would be entertained. When we arrived we discovered that there was a storage shed so full of toys that we never unpacked what we brought. The property was immaculately kept, inside and out. To put it in the words of my 6 year old granddaughter--"this house is awesome." I would recommend "Dos Suenos" as a great place to relax and play. We plan to return next year and are hopeful that a hurricane will not cut our trip short next time.
