You are 200 yards from sticking your feet into the Gulf of Mexico. If surf fishing is your game this is the right place. One can normally wade in the Gulf and collect a nice meal of Blue Claw Crabs.
We are located at the mouth of MOBILE BAY and to the west of GULF SHORES. Enjoy the exquisite unexploited white sand beaches fringed with emerald green waters, historic sites, a laidback lifestyle, and myriad activities. When Admiral Farragat said "damn the torpedos full speed ahead" this is the place he was talking about.
Boating, canoeing, and fishing at LITTLE LAGOON and GATOR LAKE, playing Golf at the scenic and challenging golf courses of GULF SHORES and hiking at PINE BEACH TRAIL are just a few of the activities that are available. FORT MORGAN STATE PARK is within walking distance and offers self-guided tours of the Fort and its grounds. The Fort also has a pier for fishing or crabbing. There is a ferry service that runs between FORT MORGAN and DAUPHIN ISLAND. The historic FORT GAINES is located on DAUPHIN ISLAND.
While the summer time is paradise for sun bathers and water lovers, the fall is a special time on the beach. The weather is cool and mild. You can turn the air conditioner "off", open the windows, enjoy the gulf breeze and sleep to the sound of the Gulf waters lashing on shore. The fishing is great in September and October.
