Stonehouse is nestled on the waterfront in a quiet residential area on the convenient East End of St. Thomas. It offers the Larimar and Seaglass,one bedroom apartments as well the Sunflower Studio. Surrounded by acres of undeveloped land allows you a myriad of views overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

You are just a 3 minute drive to the village of Red Hook with it's marina, an array of restaurants, shops, grocery stores, an internet café and the ferry to St. John. It is only a short walk to Secret Harbour Beach Resort which offers an award winning restaurant, friendly beachside bar and a Dive shop/watersports center on a beautiful palm fringed beach.

Listen to the gentle surf below while sipping a tropical drink on your own private deck after spending the day exploring the coral reefs at Secret harbour. Enjoy the sunset and then watch the twinkling lights of the cruise ships on the horizon as they head down island.

Your local hosts are available to assist you if you have any questions. You can also arrange tours, day sails and excursions with your hosts and get some inside tips on some of the better things to see and do in the Virgin Islands.

  • When you stay at Larimar or Sunflower with Robert and Joanie, you discover there really is an American Paradise! Fresh flowers and towels daily, a spotless environment, help booking tours if you need it, an insider's knowledge of what to see and do, private balconies, and unbelievable sunsets. The rooms are beautifully appointed, as Joanie has quite the decorator's touch. The area is quiet and private, but close enough to walk to Red Hook and the ferry to St. John, or the night life of that East End location. We've enjoyed every stay, and will be back!

  • This review is long overdue. My wife and I stayed here a year ago because we were getting married in St. John and we can't say enough nice things about our stay and the owners. We didn't expect to find a bottle of champagne, and rose petals all over the bed upon our arrival. This was just the start. When we walked out to the balcony we were awestruck with the amazing view of Secret Harbour. Its proximity to Red Hook and Secret Harbour made it an ideal location for exploring St. Thomas and St. John. Besides the ideal location and terrific owners, this reasonably priced place was super cozy and had everything we needed to make our wedding and honeymoon complete and comfortable. We look forward to returning some day to celebrate our anniversary or just explore more of the Virgin Islands.

  • We rented the Larimar bedroom in August of 2008 and had a great time. The view was unbelieveable for an apartment priced this low. We slept well in the bed. We enjoyed the location as we were away from the big resorts but still near a great beach and snorkeling area (Secret Harbor). We hope to come back!

  • Fantastic rental with amazing hospitality, excellent location. You can walk to Red Hook, Secret Harbor, restaurants, ferries to St. John, and day sails all nearby. I would recommend to couples and singles who like a quiet spot convenient to all amenities.

  • We stayed in Larimar the second week in February. The one-bedroom apartment was a wonderful surprise. It was clean and comfortable with a magnificent view. We loved having cooking facilities and made most of our meals there. The deLugo's were excellent hosts. We are already planning another stay next winter.

  • We loved our stay at Larimar. The view is so magnificient from the deck we could have just stayed there. The owners are very helpful and friendly. The crisp white linens, fully equipped kitchen, scuba gear and carribean decor where just a small part of making it special. With knee problems, the best part was no stairs. Because of the hilly terraine there are lots of stairs at the resorts and often no elevators. Easy parking outside your door and no tipping!! The beach is right near-by and all the resort beaches are open, we swam and ate at Secret Harbor (they have an inexpensive restaurant, Blue Moon Cafe) Food is high so bring what you can, you'll be glad you have a kitchen!
