Calm, quiet, beautiful, serene place. A spacious and tasteful unit. Good service and polite people. I especially liked the big guy that was the night security person downstairs. He was very friendly and gave good restaurant advice. This was our first time to Dauphin Island and we are hooked. Reminded me of Gulf Shores when I was a kid in the seventies. We will definitely rent this unit again.

My husband and I just returned from a repeat visit to Dauphin Island. This was our first stay at Holiday Isle and we were very pleased. Our condo was accurately represented, very nicely decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool very much. We were very pleased and would love to return to the same condo next year with our adult children. Thanks, Susan, for your quick email responses and all of your help.

My family and I enjoyed our stay on Dauphin Island very much. There was a wonderful view of the beach from the condo and we spent many hours sitting on the balcony enjoying the view. We loved being so close to the beach that we could go several times a day and come back to the condo for food or drinks. The islanders were all very welcoming and helpful. Loved eating at the Bienville Grill...wonderful hamburgers, potato salad & beans, and the Bakery had a wonderful Crab omelet on Sunday. We had four teenagers with us who loved it so much they didn't want to leave. Thank you Strickler family for making our vacation getaway wonderful.

This was our first time staying on the Island and we fully enjoyed our experience. The Condo was spacious, clean and very lovely. The beach was beautiful and we loved walking the sand and exploring the gulf waters. The pool was heated inside - the outside was not, but you had a choice of preference. Loved the steam room and exercise equipment was top notch. The amenities were top notch and the staff were helpful and very friendly. We would return again. Some fun things to experience on the Island... walk to the end of the sand peninsula - there were stingrays, jelly fish and dolphins! We explored the bird sanctuary and saw alligators in the lake there. The steamed shrimp at Skinners were amazing! Our host Susan was very helpful. A+ Vacation!

What a beautiful home to have shared with my family. Everything we needed was provided, the linens and beds were very comfortable, fresh and crisp and the home was so clean. Definitely felt like home away from home. Thank you to the Strickler Family for providing a beautiful and quiet place for us. Holiday Isle is easy to get to and we had no problems the week we were there. This home was all we thought it would be and more. Highly recommend Skinners Seafood, they are friendly and provide great seafood and the Sea Lab was very interesting and also take a ferry ride across the bay, we saw dolphins for the first time and if you are there during the Gumbo Cookoff on the island GO. Thanks again for everything!

My family recently returned from a weekend at Dauphin Island at the end of September. We enjoyed staying at Holiday Isle and found the location of the complex to be quite convenient. We were on the island for a wedding, so we were involved in many of the related activities and festivities. Therefore, we regret that we didn't have an opportunity to enjoy all the wonderful amenities at Holiday Isle! This condominium is very comfortable and has a great view of the gulf. We found the unit to be well-equipped. In addition, Susan was extremely helpful; she answered many questions and really made us feel welcome. I would recommend this unit to anyone who is traveling to Dauphin Island.

This is a beautiful, spotlessly clean, well-maintained condo that I would HIGHLY recommend to others - we were on a girls trip but it would be great for families with children of all ages. The property has something for everyone no matter the weather with the 2 pools, sauna, exercise room, etc. The beach was easy to reach and the water was crystal clear! Great place to ride bikes, walk or run. We bought fresh seafood at Skinners and the condo was well stocked with very nice cookware to prepare every meal. We also enjoyed a sunset boat tour with Action Adventures on The Duke. The pizza place right across the street from Holiday Isle is well worth a visit too. I would recommend Greers for grocery shopping. Dauphin Island is a beautiful, peaceful place and when visiting again I plan to rent this condo from Ms. Strickler - she was a pleasure to do business with!

The pictures do NOT do this condo justice! It was amazing! The decor is so inviting and relaxing. This condo has everything that you need and more. The views from the balcony are fantastic, this is where I spent the majority of our trip. Susan is the sweetest person to work with, and made the planning so easy for our trip! This was our first time on Dauphin Island and we just fell in love with it! We were so happy with the condo, that we chose to stay there and prepare our own meals! We will definitely be back!

We go to D. I. every July and normally get a house on the beach, but were worried that the beaches may have been affected by the oil spill. We decided to try a condo at Holiday Isle this year, because they had a pool, just in case the beaches weren't clean. Well the beaches were fine, but the pool area (outdoor and indoor) was so nice and relaxing that we spent most of our time there. The kids loved it and had a great time. The parking spot just outside of the door was a plus, no hauling our suitcases and coolers up stairs. It was much easier unloading than at a house on the beach. The condo was very clean and comfortable. The balcony was huge, plenty of room for all of us to relax out there comfortably, and really nice views. On the island, the Lighthouse Bakery has really good coffee and pastries, and the Ancient Mariner just a block down the street from the condo has a good selection of beachwear, beach toys, and souveniers. We didn't eat at any restaurants on the island this year, but we ate some great fried shrimp and crab claws at the Blue Heron Cafe in Bayou La Batre (about 20-25min away but worth the drive). Holiday Isle is very nice and the owner of this particular condo was super helpful and friendly. We had never rented a condo before and I had lots of questions about amenities and she was very patient with me. I would not hesitate to recommend this to a family member or friend, and will definitely stay here again.

This was the best place ever. Susan is wonderful to work with. The staff at Holiday Isle is wonderful and so helpful. We have stayed at many places over the last 8 years in the Alabama gulf coast area. This was by far one of our favorties. Susan is a sweetheart and the condo is so beautifully decorated. Everything you could ever need. The pictures are deceiving it is better than it looks. The beaches were beautiful. There was no oil at all on the beaches. If you have plans to go do not cancel. If you are thinking about going then go it is so worth it. The island is quiet but still has lots to do. Great places to eat. We loved the common loon and rainbow? (sorry dont know the exact name but it is right across from the condo.) The sandbox and treasure trove are great places to buy souveniers. The Lighthouse Bakery wonderful cinnamon rolls and cookies. Loved the coffee too. We also ate at Flamingo Fayes hard to find but great location. We even got snow cones from the little trailer on the main road. They were huge and so good on a hot day. You can rent bikes and ride all over the island it is a great way to see the island. You have the sea lab the ferry and the bird sanctiary to go to for fun. You will not get bored on your trip. The pools are wonderful they are clean and well maintained. The people on Daulphin Island are so sweet and laid back. Everyone is helpful. I just cant say enough about the place. This is the best vacation spot ever. Please please go there. Support the gulf coast and have a great vacation at the same time.

We've rented plenty of condos over the years, but this one is tops! Door side parking is a MAJOR plus. Amenities are top notch, and Dauphin Island is so laid back and uncrowded. You'll find everything you need in this lovely condo. We rented bicycles at Fort Gaines RV park and the kids had a blast. Go to Skinner's seafood and have them steam your ruby red shrimp or fresh fish with all the fixins. Barnacle Bills had some of the best gumbo we've ever tasted! Can't wait to come back!

Three generations of our family (grandparents, myself and spouse as well as a six year old, three year old and a one year old)recently spent a week at Susan's condo on Dauphin Island and cannot say enough about the location, details and overall comfort of her place. We saw dolphins swimming offshore one day while we were swimming at the beach! How's that for an added bonus! The condo is so family friendly and so nice. We cannot wait to plan a visit back to Dauphin Island and would call on Susan again. So many great memories were made with this vacation; if you are thinking of a beach vacation, this condo/location is great!!!

What a wonderful, WONDERFUL condo! The pictures on the website do not do it justice. Every detail was thought out and the beach and view at the condo was breathtaking. If you want peace and quiet and extremely comfortable beds, this is condo for you. The linens and towels are superb and everything you need for cooking a great meal as far as utensils is provided. Had a great experience at Skinners Seafood - the family is very knowledgeable about their shrimp/fish and their chowder is really yummy. Walking on the beach, which is so wide, was such a pleasure and the crowds are low. Our trip was a success and we will be back at this condo - as much as we travel, this is our favorite!

AWESOME place to stay. I was down there last year for a week while my grandparents rented the condo for the month. We all loved it so much, we are returning this February for another month! Very quiet, lovely place to relax and get away from all of the cold weather here in Michigan. I am 21 - my grandparents in there 70's - always something to do for everyone! My grandma can't stop raving about Mrs. Strickler and how professional she was to deal with. Great place to rent!!

A very pleasant and relaxing place to stay. Tastefully and subtly decorated. Extremely convenient to all the right amenities -- beach, pool, fitness, parking. The Stricklers were professional to deal with and the accommodation was as indicated in the description. The result was a great vacation that was as relaxing as we hoped it would be.

Susan, Our family had a wonderful time. Your Holiday Isle unit is beautiful and very comfortable. The view was fabulous. Dauphin Island is very quaint and relaxing. We visited the Estuarium, Fort Gaines and took the Mobile Ferry to Ft. Morgan, Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. We ate Skinners Seafood two nights, had pizza from Rainbow Island two nights, dinner at the Oar House and Crusty Crab and lunch at Lighthouse Bakery. All were delicious. Of course, we shopped at Ship and Shore (almost everyday). We spent a week of quality family time and that is difficult these days with a 21, 18 and 13 year old. Everyone enjoyed themselves. We took long walks on the beach, worked out with a view of the ocean, the boys fished everyday, swam in the ocean waves (the water temperature was perfect) and the pool, watched the dolphins play and enjoyed wonderful weather. We also visited West End Beach and rented a jet ski. On Friday night, they had a beach party there with games for the kids and tikki bar for the adults. It was really nice. We hope to come back soon. Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to visit your beach home. We highly recommend it! John, Patty, Angela Bryan and Tina Haberberger

We had a wonderful time staying at the Strickler's lovely condo in the Holiday Isle Resort. Although from the outside, it is rather dystopian looking as the parking deck faces the street, it was nice to pull up right in front of the unit and unload. The inside was lovely. All granite and stainless steel and very nice furniture and bedding. My family particularly enjoyed the large balcony and nice quality furniture out on the balcony. With a sofa, large chair (with cushions) and two chaise lounges, our family of four could all be out there at the same time reading and staring out at the ocean. Thank you for having such a well furnished and attractive unit. It was so nice to have all the appliances and pots and pans I needed to cook and all the games and movies for the kids. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I personally hope to revisit your unit this fall for a girl's weekend. Pauline Scott

This condo was a great place to spend a week. The kitchen is modern and open. The beds are very comfortable. I recommend eating on the lani as often as possible. It is also very quiet. Very little noise from the gulf or neighbors makes its way into the condo. It is a very natural area with lots of crabs, fish and birds to enjoy. The beach is not crowded. It is a quiet retreat or a short drive or boat ride to shopping or surf shops in either Mobile or Gulfshores- you choose.

We absolutely loved your condo!!! It was very well appointed with no details to design left unnoticed. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, relaxing in front of the great tv in the living room, and the bathrooms were extremely nice with huge tubs and glass shower. Breathtaking views and sounds of the ocean from the lanai made it the place to be first thing every morning and the last place before we slept in our extremely confortable beds at night. Our stay on Dauphin Island was amazing. Just one tip for people that haven't been there before...bring your bicycles! We purchased our 16 year old daughter one the 2nd day so she could explore all the trails. Thank you so much for your hospitality and The Holiday Isle Resort was the perfect place to find this gorgeous condo...we will definately be back.
Owner response:I'm so glad you had a great time! You can certainly bring your own bikes. You can also rent bikes from the shop across the street from the condo. Susan

The time spent at Holiday Isle was wonderful. The staff there especially Vernel the guard at night was very attentive and went way beyond the guard role. Everytime he saw us he would ask "Is everything o.k., can I get you anything" Being in the hospitality industry myself, ill have about 10 of him. As for the unit itself the only suggestion I have, is maybe making a small handicap bar in one restroom and one shower. My father is 84 and has Parkinsons and had a little difficulty with this but overcame it. Thanks and I hope to see you next year. bob

Thank you, Susan, for allowing us to stay in your excellent condo! It was easily the best vacation rental we've ever had. The condo is truly magnificent, and the beach was awesome! The furnishings were amazingly kid friendly (smooth corners & tall surfaces) while still being extremely tasteful and comfortable. We really didn't want to leave. Holiday Isle was really great, too. We'll definitely be back!
