  My husband and I loved Magic Sands. We watched the sunrise every morning from our bedroom, walked the long private beach for hours every day, and spent many afternoons and evenings in the Liki Tiki. The house was clean, bug free, and well equipped. The views from living room and master bedroom were breathtaking. The was alway a wonderful breeze. We can't wait to go back.

  Perfect vacation for the wife and I. Very well situated and private. We saw 3 people on the beach in the 7 days we were there. The sand is nothing like I have seen before- like pink powder. Plenty of crabs and lizards to watch. The Villa was really nice! So many gadgets in the kitchen and entertainment. Ton's in the video DVD library. Pay it forward and bring some extra AA batteries for all the accessories they have~the Walkie talkies and remotes... Very high end luxary villa with plenty of sea toys too. Careful of the first step on the tile patio because it does not have anti slip for the slick tiles and I slid down the stairs. The owner Hugh is a gem and the property manger is very responsive. I will be back!!

  2011 was our fourth visit to Magic Sand and it was truly unforgettable. We usually travel to the Bahamas in August and are inevitably dodging storms. One finally caught us – the eye of Hurricane Irene passed directly over Governors Harbor at dawn on Thurs, Aug 25. The Eleutherans are undaunted by minor inconveniences and were mainly concerned about one another, and getting on with repairs. Even without electricity, Magic Sand is paradise found. Irene took the thatch from the Liki Tiki, but she left plenty of fallen coconut palm branches for a temporary re-thatch, and we continued to enjoy sun, sand and libations until it was time to come home! Just as undaunted, we plan to return soon!

  A great vacation, sun, sand and peace and quiet. Magic Sands has it all. The house was perfect for our family holiday, with icemakers full, a large fridge to keep the Kalik cold, comfortable beds and sat. TV for the evenings. Just steps away from the PINK sands on the Atlantic or a 2 min. drive to the calm waters of the Caribbean, your choice. We went south to Rock Sound and saw the Ocean Hole and stopped for a bite to eat at Pascal's, awesome. Mate and Jenny's in Palmetto Point has pizza to rival any. Hugh, your villa is truely "MAGIC", we had a great time and enjoyed everything Eleuthrea had to offer, especially the plane ride over from Nassau. Thanks for all your help and we hope to be back soon.

  Hugh, This was our first family vacation in fifteen years, and it was DEFINITELY worth the wait! Pictures cannot even begin to do justice to this beautiful home on this incredible island. We have only been home a week and we are already watching the booking calendar and planning our next visit! The island is incredible! Our boys loved the kayaks and ventured out to the cays often. We snorkeled and saw more sea life than we could have imagined. It rained all day on Wednesday, but with the games, internet, and movie library we still had a great time just staying at the house all day. We loved cooking out at the Liki Tiki every night. The only down-side...we brought too much food with us so I never got a chance to eat any seafood...that just assures me of another trip in the future! We cannot wait to get back to Eleuthera and Magic Sand! If you are considering Magic Sand for your vacation, you can do so with full confidence that you will NOT be disappointed!

  This was our first visit to Eleuthera, and we were not disappointed! The island, people, villa and even the weather were all accommodating and beautiful for our week in Eleuthera. Magic Sands is a treasure, with a touch of luxury that somehow manages after only a few hours to feel like home. Everything we needed was provided for us, from books and movies to kayaks and a crib. Kevin and Hope met us at the airport and even helped haul our luggage, which we could not fit into our rental. They were readily available all week, and when they stopped by on our departure day to see if we needed help getting to the airport, we hated to have to say goodby. There are many concessions that are necessary whenever visiting a small island, but for the right kind of person the rewards are enormous. For example, there is limited groceries available at the stores, gas is $6.00 a gallon, no internet, beer is $42.50 a case, and the "magic" sand does not re-appear until sometime in the summer. But the benefits far outweigh these minor inconveniences. The restaurants are excellent, the beaches are unbelievable, peace and tranquility are abundant, Kalik is awesome, and a short paddle straight out from the Liki Tiki in one of the kayaks and you get to explore your very own deserted island. And the people are great. We waved at everybody, even when passing by in the opposite direction on Queen's Highway. There is no way we can overstate how important that is to us. Locals and tourists alike seemed to be always happy and treated us like old friends. And why shouldn't they be happy? They are in paradise!

  Hugh is right...For some reason the review was listed as 1 star instead of 5 STARS!!! I would rate it higher than that if there was an option for that...So here I am sending it once again...Sorry about that Hugh...   We have been at the Magic Sand Villa 3 times and will be going there for the 4th time this Summer (2011). We love it so much that last time we stayed for 2 weeks! We fell in love with the house because of the location (privacy) and the proximity of the beaches. The Liki Tikki (as Hugh affectionately calls it) is unbelievable. The views are breath taking from every angle. Overall...this house is emaculate. I haven't seen ANYTHING better!!!...Hugh & Margaret are awesome. Kevin & Hope add to it :-) and ofcourse Posey.   We return to Eleuthera as often as possible, and absolutely loved Magic Sand. While every place we have stayed in has it own charms, this place is perfect. Morning coffee, ice-cold Kaliks or frozen coconut daiquiris – it is always Happy Hour in the Liki Tiki! The best part of Double Bay beach is right there in front of the house and it is all yours. The ultimate combination of luxury & amenities - as well as what we keep coming to the Bahamas for - their beautiful unspoiled beaches - are found in perfect balance at Magic Sand.

  Our family of five traveled to the Bahamas for the first time during Xmas holidays and we landed in Magic Sands. What a lucky find!!!! The perfect location with rarely a person on the beach, an amazing veranda on which we lived for one week, wonderful location to go either direction on the island, great bathrooms, beautiful linens, and so much more. I would recommend Magic Sands to anyone visiting Eleuthera!
