Don't miss this wonderful home!

Guest: The Smith-Trefaller Family (Boise, ID)
Date of Stay: 04/22/12 Review Submitted: 04/30/12

We spent the most wonderful weekend at Eastside Cottage in April. From the moment we pulled up, we knew it was going to be perfect. We opened the front door to an impeccably clean home that smelled brand new. The carpet throughout is lovely, as well as the dark flooring in the kitchen. The beds and pillows are uber-comfortable, and the white towels and linens are plush, plush! The back yard with the creek flowing behind it are so wonderful. I actually think we spent most of our time there enjoying the patio. If you want to cook, the kitchen is outfitted with everything. We use VRBO alot, and this was one of our top places to stay. Thank you!

Perfect Get Away Weekend +

Date of Stay: 04/20/12 Review Submitted: 04/25/12

Last summer I was invited to go on a road trip to Walla Walla for wine tasting, shopping, eating, and a stay in this home. I was not disappointed in anything. From the moment I walked in, I felt "at home". While the photos are nice, they don't really tell how lovely the home is. Had we wanted to do our own cooking there was everything one could want or use to fix a meal. However, we opted to dine out. Breakfast was at The Maple Counter - a must for everyone. Dinner that evening was at T. Maccarone's. While a bit pricey, (my dinner w/o the tip was $52 which included a lovely pear salad, bolognese, bread and 1/3 of a bottle of wine) the food was delicious. Lunch the day we left was at Olive. I prefer to be waited on when away from home, but if you don't mind ordering at the counter, their food tasted fresh and was very good. The weather couldn't have been better, the house was ideal for the 4 of us ladies to just have a place to return to, relax, and talk about our day. Sitting out on the deck and listening to the creek and watching the birds while drinking our coffee in the morning and our wine in the afternoon/evening was wonderful. My only regret - not having more time to spend in this enchanting town. I look forward to a return visit someday. Thank you for sharing your home.

We enjoyed a weekend of winetasting and dining at Creekside Cottage. The home is welcoming and very well stocked. A bottle of wine greeted us when we arrived. Be sure to try the homemade pastrami at Graze, the owner's son's restaurant. Perfect house for a stay in Walla Walla.

Cozy Cottage!

Guest: WA Wine Lovers (Boise)
Date of Stay: 11/11/11 Review Submitted: 11/21/11

My husband and I and 2 friends stayed at the Creekside Cottage recently and were so impressed with the home! It is very charming, cozy, and nicely decoarted. The fireplace was very warm and the couches were comfortable. We appeciated all of the bathroom and kitchen supplies on hand for us to use. There was more than enough room in the cottage for four of us. The cottage was a little difficult to find as we drove into town after dark on a Friday evening, but it was worth the extra effort as the price is right and the cottage is really wonderful. The nice bottle of Walla Walla wine waiting for us was a nice touch. The owner also recommended Graze sandwich shop in downtown Walla Walla, which was the perfect place to give us energy for a long day of wine tasting! All of the wineries in Walla Walla are so amazing. We will definitely plan to stay at the Creekside Cottage for our next trip.

Great rental!!

Guest: Jake (Portland, OR)
Date of Stay: 11/03/11 Review Submitted: 11/29/11

My fiance and I make a twice yearly pilgrimage to Walla Walla with another couple. We've stayed at a variety of VRBOs in the area, and we've always had a great time. Good wine, good friends, and all that. However, this was the only place that really felt like "home," from the setting to the fireplace to the well stocked kitchen. It felt like we were staying at a friend's house rather than a freestanding hotel room. There is a great outside sitting area that we will definitely use when we come back in warmer weather. Highly recommend!

Creekside Cottage in Walla Walla

Guest: Crafty One (Portland, Oregon area)
Date of Stay: 10/15/11 Review Submitted: 10/22/11

The three of us thoroughly enjoyed this cozy rental house in Walla Walla. We were there for a family reunion and know the Walla Walla area very well. The cottage was quiet and a great place to unwind after a busy day with family and friends. We especially liked the fact that one bedroom is at the back of the house and the other two are at the front, with one bathroom in the back and one in the front. We all felt we had privacy if desired. The back yard and bubbling stream were delightful. We will definitely rent this location the next time we return to visit. Access to the house was excellent, especially for one of our party who recently had hip surgery.

What a great place to relax after a day of wine tasting. The home was clean, well maintained and homey. Comfy beds, nicely furnished, and the kitchen was well stocked as we made meals both nights at the cottage. The gas grill was like new and we thoroughly enjoyed our steaks and some great Washington reds at dinner. The backyard with the creek running through is truly a peaceful setting. We will be back and recommend this place to anyone coming to Walla Walla.

We so enjoyed our weekend at Creekside Cottage! The house is lovely, immaculate and so comfortable. We also found the location excellent and very quiet. We will certainly come back if we are ever in the area again - and since we tasted so many good wines, I'm sure we will be. We have already recommended it to several friends and to our adult children. I'd also like to add that the owners' son hasa a restaurant in town, Graze, that makes the best sandwiches ever.

We had a lovely weekend in Walla Walla wine country and a large part of it was due to the nice accomodations. Creekside Cottage is a very comfortable and clean home located in a quiet neighborhood. It had everything we needed. The back patio/yard is very nice with a great view. We would definately rent again.

We stayed for two nights at the beginning of August, and enjoyed this house very much. It was in tip-top shape. The owners are very hospitable with supplied staples - even a bottle of wine to welcome us! The instructions on the use of everything were clear. We felt right at home as soon as we got in the house. We had guests with us from the Midwest who have rented condos and time-shares on the East Coast. They were very impressed with how well appointed this house was. We have stayed in Walla Walla many times. This is the first time we've done a rental like this, and we will definitely do it again.

We loved Creekside Cottage. The owners have thought of everything to make their guests feel at home and to be comfortable. This vacation rental is very clean and pleasant. Situated in a suburban neighborhood, the home and backyard is completely private and charming. Again and again we were impressed by how nice the place is and the owners' attention to a myriad of details in creating a fully-appointed guest home. There were five of us. My husband and I plus my two sisters and one brother visiting from the midwest. It was a perfect vacation rental to spend time together and enjoy each other's company as well as to explore Walla Walla and environs. The owner we worked with to make the reservations was very responsive and the process went smoothly and quickly. I would definitely recommend this property to others wishing to stay in Walla Walla.

A Delightful Retreat

Guest: Nancy (Salem, Oregon)
Date of Stay: 06/24/11 Review Submitted: 07/13/11

We four long-time friends thoroughly enjoyed our two days at Creekside Cottage and wished we could have stayed on longer. The cottage was clean, comfortable, spacious and nicely decorated. There was no shortage of anything, including the plentiful towels in the bathrooms. We just loved sitting outdoors on the patio, the sounds of the creek, and the beautiful 'cottage' garden. We shopped in downtown Walla Walla and spent an interesting day in Dayton at the Fromagerie, where we tasted exotic cheeses and said hello to the goats on the property. What a perfect place to come home to at the end of a busy day! We loved everything about the cottage and hope to make it an annual event. Thank you, Karin, for the bottle of wine you left for us and for allowing us to browse through your recipe book.

My friends and I had a great time at the Creekside Cottage! The backyard was beautiful! It is on the outskirts of town but we had a rental car so it was a perfect fit! Karin was very helpful in providing valuable information about the area and meeting the needs of her guests. We also enjoyed all the space to spread out. The day before we arrived, wireless internet was installed and we used it quite a bit. Thanks Karin!

This was our second time at the cottage, and it was as lovely and welcoming as we'd remembered. We are four women, working on a novel together and the quiet of the neighborhood and the tranquility of the back yard was the perfect setting for our long week-end. We worked, played, ate and laughed together. What a wonderful way to spend time together!

Great Home Base for a Walla Walla Wine Weekend

Guest: Melinda (Concrete, WA)
Date of Stay: 03/04/11 Review Submitted: 03/08/11

Creekside Cottage served as the perfect homebase for us for our weekend of wine touring in Walla Walla. Located in a quiet development on the eastside of town, it backs right up to a beautiful setting of mountains, vineyards and a lovely little creek. The owners did a great job at arranging the back yard with privacy in mind. We enjoyed eating our breakfast at the table on the back porch. The layout of the house is perfect for 2 couples as the master is in the back of the house and the other 2 bedrooms are completely separate in the front of the house. The bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch! We would not hesitate to stay here again, it is an excellent value.

Delightfully site backs up to a picture-perfect creek with open land and a popular walking path on the opposite side. Unobstructed view on the mountains from the master bedroom and family room--we could hardly wait to open the shades each morning. All rooms are light, spacious and well decorated. Well stocked kitchen and nearby supermarket made cooking "at home" very easy; especially important as 2 people in our group have special dietary restrictions. Beds were firm and comfortable; lots of pillows to choice from. Plenty of closet space and hangers. Quiet!! We would happily stay here again.

By all means, stay at the Creekside Cottage. You will find the house to be perfect in every way, and the house's owner is just as friendly. We spent a mid-October weekend there with 2 other couples for a wine/cycling trip and had a great time. The back porch is delightful, and you can actually hear the creek 'babbling'. Everything was spotless. We'll certainly be back here for our next trip to WW.

Absolutely Delightful - We'll Be Back!

Guest: The Bike Babes (Tacoma)
Date of Stay: 09/16/10 Review Submitted: 09/24/10

We (four biking/hiking/skiing "girls") spent three nights at Creekside Cottage, which proved to be perfect. The house is charming, spacious, and well-stocked. The streets are quiet, the neighbors are friendly (we went to a garage sale!) and it's close to a lovely bike trail along Mill Creek. We especially loved Karin's cookbook, with her favorite recipes in the most organized notebook ever! Walla Walla is bike friendly, with bike-aware drivers, designated bike lanes and lots of flat or nearly flat roads to explore. Just watch out for flat tires -- there are puncture vine thorns lurking!

Creekside Cottage was very clean, quiet, well appointed and comfortable. The back deck and yard are a peaceful oasis where you can enjoy a BBQ and the sound of a creek and views of the Blue Mountains and Blue Mountain Vineyard. Access to a car is necessary, but getting to my primary destinations: downtown and wineries at the airport, mill creek and south of town was super easy and just a few minutes away. The owner was great to work with and offered plenty of helpful info. I'll certainly be returning to Creekside Cottage on future trips to Walla Walla.

Guest: Bonnie (Seattle)

We had wonderful stay at Creekside Cottage; the cottage was very comfortable for two couples to share. Especially nice was listening to the mellow babble of the backyard creek while relaxing on the deck with a glass of excellent local wine. The cottage's location was especially convenient to the airport wineries and to Hwy 12 for a visit to Waitsburg & Dayton. Plus it was a quick drive to downtown Walla Walla and to the other wineries in the Walla Walla Valley. This was the perfect place to stay because the cottage was clean, quiet, and close by to what the area has to offer. We would certainly stay here again!

My mom, friends, and I came to Walla Walla for a wine tour. We enjoyed our stay at your cottage so much that we are already planning our next trip and want to stay there again. What a beautiful place and what an inviting, warm home the owners have made it into! I loved the decorating and organization of everything. Everything had its own space and place. Bathrooms and Kitchen were all stocked with all necessities and much more. We were so impressed with everything. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. I brought ingredients to make tiramisu, minus the sugar and voilla, you had sugar of course! You even had wine bottle carriers for our wine puchases! We enjoyed walking on the path behind the creek and also sitting out on the back porch at night. The Helix wine was an added bonus when we arrived Friday. We opened it up right away and stood in the beautiful kitchen and had a grand toast to our weekend. Thank you so much for the great hospitality. We are interested in renting this perfect place again for the now annual wine tour trip we started!

We stayed at Creekside Cottage 4/23-25. Beautifully appointed. comfortable, nice neighborhood! We couldn't have asked for more. Looking forward to another stay sometime this summer when we can enjoy the beautiful yard and creek!

Owner response:Under "Recommended For," it states that our home is suitable for families with young children; however, our policy is that our guests must be at least 15 years old. We are absolutely delighted that so many people enjoy our home, but because of the creek in the backyard Creekside Cottage is not suitable for families with young children.

This place is amazing! We went with a few friends for a birthday celebration of wine tasting. I happened upon the Creekside Cottage online and it was such a find! The place was so cozy and decorated so nicely and was very close to all of the wineries. Karin, one of the owners, was an absolute delight and gave me tips on where to go tasting and eat. She made the experience even better. We joined a wine club while we were there so we plan to go back and I will definitely plan on staying at the Creekside Cottage again. Thanks Karin!

We just got home and we had a wonderful time largely in part to such wonderful accommodations. Your house is absolutely perfect. My husband's cousin must have said "I love this house" at least 50 times!!! Our oldest daughter who is attending Whitman College stayed with us both nights which made it really special. We were so comfortable at the house we decided to cook in one night and played family games for hours. A couple of us walked to Whitman College one morning (barely two miles away and a very nice walk). Thaks again, we hope to be back soon.

We had a wonderful long weekend at Creekside Cottage. You had everything nicely set up for us and we found the house easy to live in and use. Your backyard garden is a gem. We sat on the bench by the burbling creek, drank our coffee, tea or cocoa and gazed out over fields and hills. It truly is a special place. Thank you again for providing us with such a comfortable pretty place to stay. We hope to come again. Shelley, Mark and Jean Marie, Edmonds, WA

We enjoyed a delightful Labor Day weekend at Creekside Cottage. The house was very comfortable for our group, and we enjoyed the backyard deck overlooking the creek so much that we cancelled dinner reservations out and spent every evening cooking on the grill and enjoying the fresh air, serenaded by the sounds of babbling water and frogs. We were especially grateful for the owners' helpful tips and flexibility in arranging for our early arrival. This cottage is the perfect destination for a laid-back weekend in Washington wine country and an excellent value.

The Creekside Cottage was very enjoyable. We spent an enjoyable weekend in Walla Walla and the house worked out very well for the family.

We spent a long weekend at Creekside Cottage and it was perfect. It's convenient to everything, but still quiet and relaxing. The house, the yard, the creek ~ all even nicer than the pictures show, and it's so comfortable! We are already thinking about a return trip.

We chose Creek side cottage for a one month period to recuperate from hip surgery. It was a delightful place to be for that period. Very restful and peaceful, we can't say enough about it. Gene & Betty

Was a fantastic place for two couples to base their wine tasting explorations! Very much enjoyed one dinner on the back deck (and Saffron and the Woopemup Cafe on the other nights). Neat, clean and very nicely remodled property.

What a charming house! It's located in a quiet, residential neighborhood not far from the grocery store and the airport. The house is nicely appointed. It was a girls' weekend and it was nice to have two bathrooms to split between four girls. There is a walking trail on the other side of the creek, which was nice for a morning stroll.

It was perfect! The private yard, the sound of the creek, the view of the vineyards and the cozy cottage made it a magical place for a small intimate wedding. I highly recommend the place; it was much more than we expected!
