Beautiful house. Very comfortable...books, artwork, and the sweet antique fireplace make it feel very homey. Also a great collection of games and movies for quiet nights in. Wonderful outdoor jacuzzi to come home to after skiing at Monarch (awesome mountain with breathtaking views of the collegiate peaks and the continental divide only a 20 min drive from the house). Walking/biking distance from shopping and restaurants as well as the beautiful riverfront park. I look forward to staying here again and showing this house and the salida area off to family and friends.

You would not expect this home to have been built in the 1890s. It's very warm and comfortable inside - not to mention beautiful. From the first night in, it felt like a home away form home... The jacuzzi is great, the kitchen is expansive and fun to cook in (restaurant-grade stove!), living rooms and bedrooms are spacious; the list goes on. The home is conveniently located near downtown, groceries, and just a short drive from various ski resorts. Allan cares a lot about the property and your stay/experience there. I'd love to go back!

Allan provided an outstanding vacation getaway for our winter trip to Salida. The property is even better than described and we will be elated to stay here again....and again. Kudos and referrals are definately in order. The only thing missing is a guest book that anyone would be proud sign and leave comments on their great experience here.

What a lovely house! Everything was cozy and sweet. It was a pleasure to work with Allan. Easy access to downtown Salida by foot and Mt. Princeton less than 30 minutes away. The kitchen is a delight to cook in!

Allan was GREAT to work. Easy to do business and flexible. The home is well maintained and clean. A great value and so much nicer than staying at a hotel! We were a little late on checking out and Tessa worked with us, was kind and accomodating. We felt very comfortable there. The gardens are beautiful and unique. Wildlife come right into the yard. Allan has a book about Colorado which we enjoyed. It shows photos of Colorado from the 1800's and today. We loved laying on the hammock and gazing at the beautiful blue Colorado skies. No air conditioning but, even though the temperatures were in the 90's, we were comfortable because of the constant breeze in Salida. Salida is a cool town. It is the perfect place to experience the Rocky Mountains. We did lots of mountain biking, hiking, and kayaking. The Arkansas River was a blast. The town feels safe and it is very bike friendly. We traveled by bike the whole time we were there. Did rafting and kayaking with Josh from Rocky Mountain Outdoor Center...Highly recommend him. He is extremely well trained, happy, and a lot of fun. Pizza at Moonlight Pizza rocked. Feel free to call me if you have any questions: Andrea 330-416-5619

staying at your home, Allan! The home is charming and we've all enjoyed being here. Of course having the hot tub available with this house is just the best. We have especially enjoyed making our meals on your grill-everthing truly is better in Colorado. Thanks again for helping make this week full of memories our family will never forget

We love Salida and all the great activities it has to offer. We also love the friendly people. The farmers market on Saturday was great. The parks are awesome and we love all of the shops around town. The main reason we come if for the fly fishing. My husband loves fishing the Arkansas
