This nicely decorated log home built in 1999 has the charm of yesterday with all the necessities of today. Just imagine yourself relaxing in the spacious living room by the warmth of a stone fireplace, lounging on the deck, which has a nice view of the Blue Ridge Rim, or rocking your cares away on the front porch as you take in the sights and sounds of this tranquil setting!
This home has everything you need for the perfect mountain get-away: a master bedroom on the main level (queen bed), two bedrooms upstairs (queen and standard bed) and a bedroom (queen bed) and bonus living room on the lower level. Each level has its own full bathroom. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped. All linens and cookware are furnished. And, if you need to connect to the web, bring your laptop and utilize the internet connection. DirectTV is available in the upstairs and downstairs living rooms. Home is just a phone call away by using the free, unlimited long distance (US calls only - no international).
The house is conveniently located just 15 miles from Boone and Appalachian State (Go Mountaineers!). Downtown West Jefferson, is just 10 miles away and is filled with unique shops, including antiques malls, the Cheese Factory, the Fresco's, and other fun points of interest to scout out. The scenic Blue Ridge Parkway is only 10 minutes away. The FAMOUS Todd General Store is just down the road and welcomes city folks to a night of mountain entertainment, BLUEGRASS, and delicious home cooked dinner, every Friday night, April - November. Access to the NEW RIVER is just minutes away and offers many outdoor activities for the whole family such as: kayaking, tubing, canoeing, fishing, and swimming.
For skiers and snowboarders, the home has year around access and is just a short drive away from the local slopes.
