Tropical paradise with magnificent views of the Pacific and Manuel Antonio. Villa Esmeralda is surrounded by old primary rain forest that attracts a multitude of fauna; toucans parrots, monkeys, sloths, tayras, coatis, and a spectacular assortment of butterflies. You will also find beautiful tropical plants surrounding the house and under the canopy. This beautiful house is rented below market and is an excellent value for those looking for a wonderful vacation experience. Green season special 9/1 through 11/14; $1000/wk + eighth night free!
The home is at about 1500 ft. above sea level and always has a nice gentle breeze. The sunsets are some of the best in the world. The views include Manuel Antonio, the Sevegre River, and the unspoiled coastline south of Quepos. There is a small airport in Quepos for those who would like to fly in.
The Villa is brand new construction and built to take advantage of the views and provide personal luxury. There are porch areas on the main and second floor overlooking the oasis style infinity pool. The property has horseback riding trails through the surrounding rainforest. The house is gated and a caretaker is at the bottom of the hill for security.

This was our 4th visit to Central America and 3rd to Costa Rica. We fell in love with the tropical beauty of the Manuel Antonio area and were excited to get back to southern Pacific Costa Rica. Good fortune found us and "we" found Villa Esmeralda. This has clearly been the most beautiful home we've stayed in, both inside and out. Villa Esmeralda is a wonderful property that provided our son with his own second floor for privacy, me a fantastic work place (using one of 4 bedrooms for an office) with a fantastic view of the jungle and ocean, and my wife the entire first floor during the day to catch up on her reading. The property is stunning and exceeded our expectations. Everyday, we were welcomed by tropical birds including Toucans, Tanagers, Hummingbirds, and a plethora of others I have yet to look up. We were visited regularly by several Jesus Christ lizards, one just a baby, that slipped as it ran across the lower level patio (one of two) on its long, hind legs. We were blessed with spectacular weather during our entire 3 month stay and at the end of our stay we were blessed with beautiful rain showers toward the evening. This property is amazing even when it rains and the chorus of frogs after the rains were comical and a joy to listen too. We took many long walks, nearly every other day, to get our exercise that afforded us great opportunities to take in the beauty of the grounds and fantastic surrounding scenery. We even caught a family of white-faced monkeys in a small gathering of trees we passed on our walks and saw a Tayra on one of our walks back to the house. It was amazing to hear the monkeys squeak to each other and the sound of breaking branches as they jumped from tree to tree. The 12 acre grounds on which Villa Esmeralda is located are kept pristine and this would be my dream home. Palm trees, Lime trees, Coconut trees, and even a couple Bamboo trees right here for us to enjoy. Lots of ferns, flowers, and wildlife of all kinds made this a spectacular visit. The skies were full of beautiful stars and the daytime heat rising into the sky made them twinkle in unison. The property is well maintained, spacious, and safe. We were within a reasonable driving distance to Quepos, stores, and a restaurant called the Anaconda. Great kitchen, appliances, and furnishings throughout. Extremely comfortable. Drank the tap water our entire stay. We loved this place and will surely miss Chris and this stunning home! Thanks Chris!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
