Relax and watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets, shop the Freeport outlets, rent a canoe or kayak and explore Casco Bay, photograph wildlife, eat lobster, and enjoy a coastal Maine vacation. There are many things to see and do that are a short drive from the house. Treat yourself to a dinner cruise on Casco Bay, shop the Freeport outlets and L.L. Bean, or enjoy a performance at the Maine State Summer Music Theatre.
If you prefer a more relaxed vacation, you can spend many pleasurable hours observing wildlife on the Maine coast - ducks of all kinds, Canadian geese, ospreys, great blue herons, bald eagles, and harbor seals. Have fun climbing over rocky ledges and exploring tidal pools that contain tiny fish, crabs, and other sea creatures. Or, you can just relax in the sun and read a good book while enjoying the view.
