The Lark Nest is a Craftsman style house designed by a bay area architect. It is nestled in the sunny hills just west of the town of Occidental in Sonoma County, CA, also known as Wine Country. It's a lovely retreat that has hardwood floors, a spacious, well lit living/dining room area with a high ceiling. Large windows above the beautiful wood mantle bring the trees into the room. Front and rear decks offer sun and shade; rock walls create a terraced garden with a flagstone patio, surrounded by redwoods and oaks.
On Coleman Valley Road, the locals' favorite scenic route to the coast, and on the 2007 and 2008 Tour of California bike race routes. Close to famous nurseries, Arts and Ecology Center, lots of top-notch restaurants, quaint shops, local farmers' market, great cycling and hiking. A short drive to wineries, the Russian River and ocean beaches. |
