This charming Pottery Barn-styled cottage is located on the South River and has spectacular sunrises and romantic moonlight nights. The home is beautifully decorated with hardwood floors, a stone fireplace for cozy winter nights and the all amenities to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. Enjoy views of the water from the kitchen, dining/living room and master bedroom.
The cottage is conveniently located 10 minutes away from downtown historic Annapolis and the United States Naval Academy with Washington DC and Baltimore just a short 30 minutes away. This area is rich in culture and history and great for day trips to museums or other historical locations. All conveniences such as the Annapolis mall, shopping, antiquing, movie theaters and restaurants are within 5 minutes. The house is located in a quaint and quiet neighborhood, ideal for walking and jogging. You won’t believe how easy it is to access in minutes Route 50 to Washington, DC or Route 97 to Baltimore.
You can boat or walk to Mike’s Restaurant and enjoy feasting on steamed Maryland blue crabs on the deck or fine dining at Paul's Restaurant next door, both overlooking the South River. There is a post office and small convenience/deli store within a 5 minute walk.
There is a large patio deck overlooking the South River providing a wonderful opportunity to relax and enjoy the spectacular views. Stairs go down to your own private dock where you can swim, fish, crab, or just layout and enjoy the sun. The dock has 7 MLW and 2 boat slips and lifts (8k lbs) for your use.
This area is a popular year-round vacation destination. It is perfect for USNA and St. John's events including graduation, class reunions, homecoming and Navy football games. The National Power and Sailboat Boat Shows are held in Annapolis and attract people from all over the world. Sports events such as the Washington Redskins, Capitals, Nationals, Wizards, Baltimore Ravens, and Orioles are at nearby venues. It is perfect for a summer vacation, fall excursion, winter getaway, wedding, or other special event. You will not find a more relaxing quiet place so conveniently located.
** Because the property is located on a steep incline to the water, it is not recommended for families with small children.
DEPOSITS, PAYMENTS & COTTAGE POLICIES:
• SECURITY DEPOSIT: A 50% Deposit is due with the return of the signed lease along with a $500 security/damage deposit. The security/damage deposit will be returned within 30 days of departure, provided the home is left in its original move-in condition. To receive your full deposit back, we ask that you clean up after yourselves and leave the cottage as it was when you arrived.
• PAYMENT SCHEDULE: Full payment plus the cleaning fee is required two weeks prior to arrival. Please allow 10 days for personal checks to clear. If booking is made within the 30 days prior to arrival, the entire amount of the rental, including deposit and cleaning fee, are to be sent via next day service
• LEASE CANCELLATION POLICIES & FEES: A 60 day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days will incur no penalty. Once a reservation has been confirmed by payment and you are unable to fulfill your obligation to occupy the rental property, the owner must be notified in writing for your protection. If you must cancel your confirmed reservation, regardless of reason, (including bad weather, illness, death, or economic factors) the Owner will make every attempt to re-rent the property. If I am unable to re-rent the property, no refunds will be given. If the property is re-rented at the full rental rate, you will receive a refund of the full amount of rent, less a $150.00 cancellation fee.
• There will be no refunds for inclement weather, including hurricanes, mandatory evacuations or states of emergency.
• PET FEE: Owner allows dogs only. A non-refundable pet fee of $100 is required for a weekly rental and $200 for monthly rental
• LINENS: Linens are not provided. Please bring sheets and towels for use during your stay
• SMOKING POLICY: To keep the cottage at its best, there is a no smoking policy. Failure to abide by this will result in a fine in addition to the extra cleaning fees.
