This peaceful log home, just off Route 40 in Sandy Level, welcomes you to our farm and a great view of the "dry" side of Smith Mountain. The upstairs loft with queen bed provides privacy and the two futons downstairs fold out to two comfy double beds. There are country stores within two miles for any groceries you may need, as well as dining out options.
The farm is 300 acres of rolling pasture, woods, creeks, stocked fish ponds(catch and release)and riding/hiking trails.
Guided horseback trail riding adventures take you on a walking tour of our farm. Age and weight restrictions apply. Lucky enough to have your own horse? Bring them along for an overnight stay and ride the trails!!
Escape to the country and still be close enough to Smith Mountain Lake to enjoy all it has to offer. Boat/jet ski rentals and other lake activities are easily accessed via Rt. 834 (Brooks Mill Road).
The owners, Steve and Carol Miller, are on site to provide you with our country hospitality!

Horsebackriding adventures : $70/person-2 hour or $45/person-1 hour
Horse camp for all ages: $30/person
Well behaved pets are welcome: $10/night
1 horse stays free, each additional horse is $25.

Steve & Carol, Thanks for a relaxing weekend in the country. The log cabin has just the right feel. The kids loved the horses, even the "chores". The pond was very accomodating, making the children excellent fishermen. Hot dogs seem to be the bait of choice. Thanks for all the memories.

Carol, The cabin was great we loved it. The dogs loved being together with each other. The horse ride was awsome we all wanted to go again. Nicole would feed Lucky in the morning and he loved her. We all loved the hammock and we never fell off. We would all love to come back and see you and your horses.

Thanks so much for the experience of a lifetime! Our family has different ideas of an ideal vacation that usually does not match!! So we keep trying different things..... usually it is a compromise for some of us. But this time all of us had so much fun! It was great. Thanks for being the perfect hosts. Our 2 year old Mischa had the most fun. She enjoyed so much that we have to absolutely come back again and again. We had a wonderful honeymoon here at the farm! Thank you for the tremendous hospitality. The cabin is just awesome! Very cozy and comfortable. It was so nice to get away from all of the "hustle and bustle" of Northern Va. We loved the fishing and skeet shooting and the peace and quiet. But most of all it was great seeing you all again. We will be happy to re-visit in the future!
