My husband and I came here for his birthday and had a wonderful time. The place is absolutely beautiful! Great nooks inside and outside the house to relax and they even have a Viking stove with a large kitchen to cook in. They recommend Oasis Day Spa For his special day and we were both very pleased with the services they offered ,which included their famous cedar enzyme bath! Totally worth a try. The beach is about a 5 min walk from the house. The master bedroom has a king size bed and a bath to top off the relaxing day up here. Great views of the ocean, which we really enjoyed as one of the days was windy, so staying inside was a nice option from the beach. Great little get away!

What an amazing rental property! We had a girl's weekend that was long overdue and we could not have enjoyed our stay more. The location was ideal for wine tasting and sightseeing. The house was wonderfully appointed, beautifully furnished and very cozy. We were right at home and didn't want for a thing! I have rented many VRBO Properties, but Angela was the most wonderful, easy to work with owner ever! The photographs did not do justice to this charming home. We enjoyed fresh rosemary from the garden and had a great time preparing our meals in the gourmet kitchen. We hope to come back again and again!

We were at this property with our 10 year old grandson for 9 days and thoroughly enjoyed being there. This property is in a development bordering on Hwy 1; the house is away from Hwy noise. The kitchen is very well equipped, bedding and furniture comfortable, decor is lovely. Wildlife is abundant, gardens are around the house. Fabulous beaches and cliffs are just a short walk down the hill and of course Bodega harbour and Salmon Beach are a short drive. Everything worked. We hope to return.

There is no better place to be than the ocean in the fall and there is no better rental we have come across that this homey retreat. The amenities are great, the walk to the beach short, the owner is awesome, and the overall experience is relaxing and restful. In its quiet location, the wildlife scurry back and forth from the gulley giving us sitings of quail, deer, bunnies and foxes. It is a bird lover's paradise too. We could not believe how gorgeous the sunsets over the ocean were - and different each night. We have stayed here many times before and will always come back!

I am not sure if my words will adequately reflect the wonderful stay we had at Angela's home--this was like being home. I first have to thank her for sharing her family, their traditions and their memories. The house was amazing, more than the picutre show (though they are accurate depictions of what you will find). I would recommend this home to all--there is so much to enjoy. We walked in the neighborhood, to the beach, and out into the countryside. I have photos of the deer feeding in the morning, hummingbirds flying in to taste the flowers, the quail scampering around in the late afternoon. My husband spent time kayaking in the bay and on the Russian River; had a couple of great meals out--the River's End for lunch and the Cape Fear Resturant for brunch on Sunday--both were absolutely wonderful! But the meals cooked at the house were the best--the setup to cook is amazing to say the least--fully equipped kitchen and the range is a dream! We listened to some of the opera CDs and relaxed in the love seat watching the sunset! If you get the chance, do not pass this house!

The best rental down in the Bodega Bay area we have ever stayed in, and this will be our 8th rental. This house is very clean, if you love to cook the kitchen is well equipped not with just pots and pans or dishes, but wait until you see all the spices. Just bring food to cook and you'll be set. The beds in both rooms are extremely comfortable, this home is very inviting. The home is much nicer than the pictures show. Incredible views, and you will see deer, quail and for our last night a gift from a curious fox. He was beautiful. If your looking to really unplug, and relax from the stress of todays world this is the place to do it. Our daughter is 15 and she really enjoyed our time together. Our trip wasn't long enough, and we were sad when it was over. But our close connection to the property and eachother was worth the small amount of time we shared together. This is our new vacation rental, we need not look anymore. Thank you Angela for sharing your little piece of heaven with my family.

We came here to have a quiet, relaxing celebration for my 50th birthday - we just wanted a special getaway! We were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived! The house is very spacious and has a warm, welcome and open feeling! We loved the kitchen - unfortunately, we didn't bring any food to cook (next time we will). And we also wished that we would have invited another couple for the weekend since the house was so comfortable and spacious. We loved the peace and quiet and the view is spectacular! Every night I enjoyed relaxing on the comfy soft watching the sunset. It's a nice short walk to the beach and an easy drive into the small down. We had a fabulous dinner at Terrapin Cafe - highly recommend it. Next time we will stay longer and we will definitely return - it's a special place where you feel right at home! Oh, one more thing - the bed is so comfortable! Normally beds in hotels and vacation rentals are not nearly as comfy as my bed at home...the master bed is very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the house and the property - and can't wait to go back and stay longer and enjoy the kitchen and bring food to cook.
Owner response:I am sooo glad that you enjoyed your 50th. I believe that the cottage is magical and healing. I love sharing it but hate being away. Enjoy your 50th year, what a gift! Angela

Our family had a fantastic vacation and completely enjoyed our stay in this wonderful house. It felt very much like a home -- so well equipped and so many nice touches that only someone who loves the house and has spent time there could have thought of. And while lovely, the photos don't do justice to the warm feel of the house or its amazing hillside and ocean views. The house is perfectly situated for trips to the beach, the giant redwoods, the Russian River, Tomales Bay... and more. Thank you so much Angela -- we hope to visit again soon!

We stayed here for the Memorial day weekend. The house was delightful. Huge windows, gorgeous views of the ocean and a deer or two in the backyard. The house was very clean and excellently furnished. The best part is the kitchen. A six burner stove, all the pots and pans you could want and spectacular dinnerware. The place even had two blenders! We got fresh crabs from the fishermen in Bodega bay and cooked up a feast. It is just a few minutes walk from the portuguese beach. We walked to the north end of the Portuguese beach where a little creek joins the ocean. Our three year old son, thrashed around in the creek since the creek waters are warmer than the ocean! Thanks Angela! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I walked through the door and felt like I was home. Very cozy house furnished like a home; not a sparsely furnished vacation rental. Everything you could ask for in the kitchen and linens nicer than my home. Beautiful view of the ocean and wildlife all around. Just a short walk to the beach and very close to wonderful shops and restaurants. Can't wait to come back!!

Oceanview Cottage is as described in the listing! The bedrooms are wonderful, the living area is very homey and comfortable, the kitchen is a joy to spend time in! The views are Awesome! Seeing so much wild life doing their everyday living RIGHT OUTSIDE the windows was awe inspiring! This home is Not an impersonal rental! You feel and see this as soon as you open and step in the door. We have rented others in Bodega Bay but none have come close to this comfort level. I dislike staying in a place that has hotel vibes and Oceanview has the" I'm A Real Persons Home" vibe! THANK YOU, Angela for openning this Very Loved Home to us! Can't wait to stay again! We came to visit our daughter and grandkids in January and decided to surprise them with a weekend at Bodega Bay. It was wonderful, the house is lovely very nicely decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen is fantastic. The area is full of wild life. At night the stars are so bright you could almost touch them. We walked the beach and even met a sealion that came up on the beach for a rest. My only regret is tha we could not stay longer. I will definately come back to this house.

This house is just perfect! The pictures cannot do it justice. We spent a "girls" week with great friends, wine, food and relaxation. We walked to the beach everyday and enjoyed the antics of the wildlife - quail races, the red fox siting, and more deer right outside the door than we could count. We have made this trip on an annual basis for some time now and have stayed at a couple of different houses. This is by far the best. The kitchen is a dream; completely stocked with everything but the food you wish to bring. The house has a warm and friendly personality with all the little treasures that make it homey. Very, very clean as well. We will definitely return next year.

We loved our long weekend stay. The home was fully furnished with everything you could think of. The decorating, furnishings down to the linens were top notch. I loved getting up in the morning and taking a short walk to the beach, so relaxing and absolutely beautiful. So many restaurants and cute towns nearby. Can't wait to come back and stay here again!!! Thank you so much!

I forgot to do our online comment on the Beach House. We were there last year over New Year's Eve for one glorious week. The Beach House was absolutely fabulous. We have rented many houses in Bodega and beyond and this is one house we are going back to once again to spend New Year's and my birthday. The house is well taken care of and it is so comfortable. Angela takes pride in her Beach House and it shows. Looking forward to our next holiday at the Beach House. Janet

Pictures on the website are good, but… the house, its furnishings, and especially the kitchen is AMAZING!! Nice little hike to the Ocean, but it can be seen from the warm and friendly comfort of the house. We were there for 3 nights (not long enough) and hope to visit again.

We had a wonderful week here in April. The house was so clean and comfortable and had a wonderful gourmet kitchen with about every appliance a avid cook would ever need. We had many wonderful meals around the table gazing out of the large windows at the ocean and breakfast on the deck. The surrounding area was so peaceful and the garden was visited by deer every evening. We even encountered a seal pup and all kinds of marine life in the tide pools around portuguese beach. It is definitely a location and a house we would like to come back to again and again.

Thank you so much for opening your beautiful house! We really enjoyed our stay. My sisters and I tried fresh oysters for the first time and loved it. My Mom adores your kitchen and tasteful decor. Dad like to plan fun getaways for the family and thus far, this is our favorite. This house offered something for everyone. We can see why it means so much to your family. We really appreciate the efforts you've made to make the house warm and welcoming.
