Lovely retreat in Yarmouth Port with stunning panoramic view of Chase Garden Creek and marsh leading to Cape Cod Bay. Osprey nest, gulls and the occasional deer or red fox can be seen. Just 1.2 miles to Grey's Beach and famous Bass Hole boardwalk, and 5 minutes to historic Route 6A for fine dining and antique shopping. Only 15 minutes to Nantucket Sound beaches. Only 8 minutes to Exit 8 for Highway Route 6, and just 1 hour 20 minutes to Boston.
This cedar shingled Cape style home is charming, beautifully maintained and tucked in a quiet neighborhood. One end of the house is a windmill with a knotty pine sitting room on first floor and cozy bedroom on top level. A hallway connects the windmill to the main house. There is an outdoor shower with a complete enclosure for privacy, but also affords a great view of marsh while showering. The home has a large back yard and hammock facing the marsh and a patio for outdoor dining.
The main part of the house has a fully equipped kitchen with brand new stainless steel appliances and a spacious living/dining room with Oriental carpets, TV, newly finished oak floors and picture windows for breathtaking marsh views. Also on the first floor is a twin bedded bedroom with private half bath, washer/dryer and an additional bedroom with queen bed, sliding glass door offering bright morning light, marsh view, direct access to backyard and a full bath in hall. The second floor has a triple sized master bedroom with king bed and bank of windows looking east over the marsh to Dennis and Chapin Beach, Sony flat screen TV/VCR/DVD and full bathroom.

Thank you so much for The Windmill House. We had a wonderful time in the house and on the Cape. The most difficult thing was actually getting the energy to leave the back garden of the Windmill with our Osprey neighbors to go traveling. We hope to visit this paradise home again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

What a wonderful week! We sat outside every morning on the lovely outdoor decks, tables & chairs & enjoyed the birds & bunnies. The kitchen was well stocked -- we ate 6 out of 7 nightly meals there. We grilled & ate clam and cod from the bay. Bookshelves were overflowing with treasures. The pamphlet basket was most helpful -- we used it to select beaches, trails & lunch spots. We loved the windmill design & views. This is a vacation we will remember for a lifetime.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Visiting the US from Germany, we relaxed at The Windmill House for the last week of our trip, and tested the great beaches nearby. Our favorite was Nauset Light Beach and we enjoyed eating seafood in various locations. We really loved our stay in The Windmill House, especially the marsh view, and all the other animals... Thanks for a wonderful week of summer vacation!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The Windmill House was a great place for our family to spread out and relax. The grounds are lovely and we enjoyed using the outside grill. The all new appliances in the kitchen made cooking inside a pleasure too.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
