I can really recommend this condo and definitely staying here again if I visit Mammoth in the future.. Pictures accurately reflect the condition and it is well-equipped with everything you will need. The 'welcome pack' was a real treat! Sunstone Lodge is even more slope-side than Juniper Springs with both lodges well equipped and maintained. Owner was very helpful and very kindly accommodated, due to timing of rentals before and after us, early checkin and late checkout without additional charge. There is a complimentary shuttle from airport to Juniper Springs so save on taxi ride to resort.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This place is a gem! The TOP FLOOR unit was immaculately clean and just as the pictures showed. We traveled with our 3 year old and even he walked in and said "Look at this place"! The condo has all the amenities you could need (even the soaps were top notch) and simply the feel of the place was so comfortable. We loved the location in Mammoth (away from the town center and right on the mountain) - we were able to walk out the front door and begin a hike on the summer slopes. There are great lakes and hiking trails just 2 miles away and an easy drive up to the east entrance to Yosemite. The pool was clean, warm and welcoming, as was the jacuzzi. The balcony offers a great view and was perfect for coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. It was especially warm the week we were there, thankfully we had brought our own fan to cool us down in the evening. The only slight con was noise from the hallway (kids running thru hall or loud conversations). Luckily, this unit is far from the elevator, so on the whole, you don't get too much foot traffic. On Saturday night, there was a party down the hallway, followed by a loud 2am conversation on the balcony below us. But the rest of the stay was relatively quiet. We look forward to visiting again, and I don't think we'd ever stay anywhere else, we felt especially spoiled here. Also, Connie made our last minute trip so easy. We were getting worried as we checked vacation rentals and saw that many were quite dismal. When we saw the pictures of this one, we called immediately and she made it so easy for us to check in the following morning. No hassles at all.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children.

We had a wonderful stay here over Labor Day weekend. Connie was incredibly helpful in getting us situated, and we especially loved the extra touches awaiting us when we arrived. The condo is not large -- it does feel about the size of a hotel suite. However, it is at the top-end in terms of furnishings and thoughtful touches. We really felt like we were staying in a friend's vacation home. The building itself and the entire complex are terrific -- everything tasteful and well-maintained. This spot is a real winner!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We rented this condo on a last minute getaway. The owners were very accommodating in handling the arrangements. The condo itself was fantastic, with top of the line appliances and furnishings. Everything was provided for a comfortable stay, except a fan, which during the warm summer nights we wished we had as the unit is not air conditioned.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

Connie and her Husband made this the easiest and most enjoyable experience we have had with VRBO, and boy have we had some weird experiences. First attempt at contact Connie got back to me quickly and answered all questions I had. Booking was simple and straightforward, very fair with no ridiculous deposit hassles. Check in was super easy, again, no hassles. Here is what we found: Clean comfortable Condo, beautifully decorated, top floor location can't be beat. Well equipped kitchen with many pots and pans for cooking just about anything. BBQ down by pool. Big comfy King sized bed, just slightly firm, nice quality white sheets. Along with the clean white spa robes, this made us feel pampered at the end of a long day outdoors Deep tub shower combo. if you like taking baths this is a nice feature. Balcony with nice views and a cool breeze in the summer. a bit of noise from pool but most people kept the noise to a minimum and pool closes at 10 pm Condo is super quiet, although it seemed someone was staying next door we didn't hear a peep. Only thing I would recommend would be a fan for the days it gets warm. Best day we had was hitting the Tioga Pass rd to the lakes and taking in the incredible scenery in that area of Yosemite. Made a quick stop at the Mono Market beforehand to pick up delicious sandwiches and snacks and had a picnic by Tioga Lake. Had a nice dinner at Nevados, perfectly cooked steak and you can bring your own wine with a corkage feeRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Hi Connie/Jim, Just wanted to let you know we had a great time. Our friends want to rent a duplicate condo like yours. They could not believe the difference! And how nice you guys were in offering the airport pickup, Jim taking the time to show us a quick tour, really really needed the goggles and your daughter’s pants were warmer than mine. They told their other friends who were also here that we had the nicest condo owners. And my friend Trish told me to thank you 100 hundred times for use of the crockpot for her food allergy issues. I made sure I put everything back. So we really appreciated everything and look forward to coming back. Thanks again. NandaDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My wife and I made last minute plans to go to Mammoth for the weekend. This was the perfect place for us. It was very quiet, and the condo was beautifully decorated. The owners have great taste and maintain their unit well. We enjoyed the special touches, like the toiletry kit and the honor wine bar. We left an extra bottle of wine in the tradition of "leaving the woodpile a little higher than we found it." Next time we will bring our mountain bikes. We didn't realize that Mammoth had turned into such a mountain bike recreational area.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Dear Jim and Connie, I want to thank you for letting my daughter and I live in luxury on the slopes of Mammoth. The ski in, ski out convenience was something I haven't experienced since Aspen...and this was even better. Your place is perfect and I'm glad to be a part of the family now. Thanks again, RJ and MirandaDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
