Our house is perfect for two couples with kids and sleeps 6-8 people comfortably. There are two rooms downstairs with queen beds in each and armoires for your clothes. Upstairs is a loft with a queen futon and a bedroom with 2 twin beds, TV, Cable, VHS player with a wide variety of Disney videos and games.
Our Cabin is located in Gardner Mountain which is close enough to the casinos but far enough away to feel like you have "gotten away from it all". The Gardner Mountain neighborhood is close to the best beaches on South Shore, Camp Richardson and Fallen Leaf Lake. We are also close to Heavenly Valley Ski Resort (6 miles), Sierra-At-Tahoe (15 miles), and Kirkwood (40 miles).

Why the Owner Chose Gardner Mountain
Lisa & Jeff bought their Chalet style home in South Lake's Gardner Mountain neighborhood for its privacy but proximity to stores and markets. Our home is located on a 1/3 acre lot with tons of trees: Pines, Spruce and Fir. The trees are home to many small birds (which we encourage with our bird feeder). During Winter the trees are covered in snow and after skiing, we love sinking into the hot tub to enjoy our surroundings and soothe our weary muscles.
The Unique Benefits at this Chalet
Jeff loves to cook so as a result you get a fully stocked kitchen and pantry with lots of spices, rubs, oils, vinegars and condiments. Not to mention a variety of kitchen tools. Once Jeff cooked a 13 course tasting menu for 20 over Thanksgiving in our small kitchen.

Lisa & Jeff love South Lake Tahoe. We bought our vacation rental to enjoy this area all year round and enjoy sharing their home with their guests. Lisa is a mother of two: Drake & Soren who love to sled on our property and Drake started skiing last year. Jeff owns a Real Estate & Mortgage company and is a licensed pilot and avid sailor.

We stayed for the weekend of April 1st this year, and we had such a great time! This cabin has it all! Great location, cozy living room and bedrooms, and a very spacious loft and deck. The hot tub was a definite plus! It stayed super hot all day and night, and sits where it is surrounded by trees and snow. The kids had fun sledding on the side of the house, while the grown ups hung out in the hot tub. Other amenities were nice too! BBQ grill, sleds, board games, dvd player, cable, tvs and you even get a complimentary wine bottle! The owners were very accommodating too. We had to move our reservation to a different day and we didn't have any issues doing so. We also had a problem with one of our cars on the day of our check out and asked for a late check out because of that, and they were very understanding and even said we could stay there for as long as we want that day if needed! :) We will definitely come back here again!

My wife, 3 yr old and I stayed here for the first week of Feb 2011. The cabin was great there were plenty of toys and movies to keep my son entertained, the hot tub was perfect after skiing all day and the location couldn't have been better. There is a grocery store less than 3 mins from the cabin, Heavenly is less than 10 mins down the road, Sierria @ Tahoe about 20-25 mins away Homewood (great skiing and no lift lines) about 30 mins and Squaw was about an hour's drive going around the west side of the lake. I would highly recommend this property to just about anyone looking in this area of Tahoe. Already thinking about next years trip. Had a great time and plan on returning.

We rented this cabin for my 31 birthday with 8 adults staying for 2 nights. We all fit very comfortable, the hot tub was large and always at 102 degrees. The deck was perfectly covered in snow and was perfect for daytime entertainment! We made a hill for sledding right next to the house. Very well kept cabin with all of the amenities of home. A definate recommendation!

My husband and I stayed at this lovely cabin for our January 2010 honeymoon. To say it was perfect is an understatement. It was snowing on the day we arrived, and after a day of snowboarding in fresh powder, we thoroughly enjoyed sitting under the stars in our own hot tub, surrounded by giant snow-covered trees. Afterwards, we drank wine in front of a roaring fire before crashing in the super-comfortable bed. It was conveniently located to both Sierra at Tahoe and Heavenly, and just minutes from great restaurants and the lake. It was a cozy, welcoming get-away, and we hope to return someday with our kids!

January 21, 2008 It snowed 4 inches last night and we can't wait to make it up to the mountain, but it is definitely sad to leave this place. We loved sitting around the table with the five in the back and having a glass of wine. The board games were great - intense game of taboo & trivial pursuit. Bogggle definitely brought back nostalgia. We had fund rocking out to some 80's-Bohemian Rhapsody got a standing ovation. We loved the hot tub-thank you for keeping it at 102. January 4-6 2008 Blizzard '08! We had a wonderful time! Spent time hot tubbing, sledding down the street, and SHOVELING! Snow was falling like crazy (3-5 inches/hour) - roads and ski resorts were closed! after more shoveling, got in a powder day at Heavenly - good times until the drive home :-( the hill on Julie Lane proved to be too much for a little cobalt. January 13, 2008 We had a beautiful, fun, relaxing (yet achy after snowboarding & shoeing) weekend in the cabin. Love this place!
