With temperatures of 78-84 degrees by day all you will need is the windows wide open to welcome in the ocean breeze and a ceiling fan in every room. This country home is quiet and has beautiful lava flow landscaping in the back of the house just outside the screened lanai. Pineapples, avocados, bananas, and limes grow in the backyard so help yourself if you come at harvest times which vary throughout the year.
There are some of the most beautiful beaches in the world just minutes away or 2 hours away. With so much to see and do you will want to stay for at least a week if not 10 days. You will find this house especially comfortable and cozy to rest up for your next days adventures.

Welcome to Hale Aina Lani, my name is Virginia and I am happy you have chosen to stay at my home on the Big Island. I hope you enjoy your stay and find it peaceful and relaxing as I always do. I lived in Hawaii for 2 years with 2 of my 3 children before a job took me back to the west coast. And yes it was painful and tearful to leave but I told myself it would only be temporary. My favorite things are the sounds of birds singing when I wake up in the morning, and those soft trade winds that blow gently in through the front windows of the house. You must open the windows wide in the morning and let that sea breeze roll thru the house as you sip your morning coffee. You might also enjoy walking through the yard to see the ripples of lava that once flowed through the backyard. There are avacados in the fall, limes year round,and if you are lucky a pineapple or 2 may appear ripened during your stay.

Why the Owner Chose Hilo
I chose to buy on the east side of the Big Island because of the diversity in the climate and all the wonderful things that nature offers on this island. I liked the fact that the east side of the island is less commercial and more old world hawaii, something you would not experience on Maui or Oahu.
