Les Patis is set among rolling hills and orchards in 17 acres of private gardens. Each cottage has privacy and space. The lake is well stocked with fish. There is a large heated outdoor swimming pool, tennis court, boules, table tennis and play area with horse riding nearby. Just one mile away, the pretty town of Vimoutiers offers shops and restaurants.
Normandy Beaches and Bayeux: Our region is steeped in History and holds delights for all ages and interests. The Normandy Beaches of the historical D Day landings are an easy drive from here. Bayeux with its magnificent hand worked tapestry, majestic Cathedral and many restaurants, is less than an hour away.
Monet's gardens at Giverney and Honfleur: Monet’s House and Gardens at Giverney , though a little further away, are a memorable way to spend a day. Honfleur , with its charming fishing port, surrounded by first class seafood restaurants, is very close. A delicious lunch followed by a stroll around the art galleries, or a sight of artists painting in the streets is all part of the pleasure.
Swiss Normandy and Châteaux nearby: Experience the hot spa baths of Bagnoles de l’Orne in picturesque Swiss Normandy. Visit the Château of Falaise , childhood home of William the Conqueror and the beautiful Château of Vendeuvre with landscaped water gardens and the largest collection of miniature furniture in the world.

Our largest cottage is Les Frenes (the Ashes), it is split over three levels offering generous accommodation and is ideal for a family gathering. It sleeps 10/12 people, there are 2 double rooms one with en-suite shower room and 3 twin rooms plus two further bath/shower rooms. The upper level has three bedrooms (including en suite) plus a further shower room. The mid level has a very spacious sitting room with plenty of comfortable chairs (including a double sofa bed), with a good sized kitchen (with microwave and dishwasher) and breakfast bar. There is also a large dining table, which comfortably accommodates a crowd. There are several windows, some overlooking the pine trees and some the grounds and lake, as well as a French door, which looks over the pool terrace. The lower level has a large double room with private bathroom and a small kitchen in addition to the main one above. Doors opening onto a terrace.

'We've had a great time! Lovely weather, lots of facilities, loads of swimming, tennis and especially fishing (we all got into the sport after nearly catching a huge carp!)
