Casa Maravilla borrows from contemporary, tropical and hacienda styles to produce an astonishing effect. Traditional Talavera and Saltillo tiles throughout the home mix beautifully with local Mayan and modern art.
The home incorporates furnishings from Mexico’s interior with oversized iron and glass chandeliers, sculptural art and handmade furniture. In contrast, the house is bathed in natural light and integrates towering tree trunks culled from the heart of the Mayan jungle. The effect is old world charm, tropical attitude and modern luxury in an unforgettable setting.
The spacious floor plan flows, from its 25-foot foyer to its distinct but adjoining living, dining and kitchen environments, all framed in glass. The living area comfortably seats your entire party on tastefully appointed couches and antique wooden chairs reminiscent of hacienda style living. The handmade wooden trestle dining table seats eight and is accented with a fabulous wrought iron chandelier.
The fully equipped kitchen of stained concrete countertops, Talavera tile, and stainless steel appliances are sure to please the most demanding of chefs. Prepare your own feast or enjoy a traditional Mexican meal prepared at your request by our on-site staff. This large kitchen includes its own intimate round table seating for four with full views of the pool and Caribbean.
Massive 16-foot sliding glass doors open up to the lagoon style pool and patio designed with comfortable chairs, couch, gas barbeque, and fire pit. For those who love nothing more than to laze on the beach, a huge beachfront palapa with hammocks and chaise lounges await you.
This protected bay is one of the calmest and most beautiful swimming and snorkel sites on the Mayan Riviera, safe enough for the kids, yet still within easy reach of a living coral reef and abundant tropical sea life.
The downstairs bedroom, from its vaulted tiled ceiling to its king size bed with carved colonial style headboard, offers a calm retreat from the rest of the house. This downstairs suite overlooks tropical gardens through its French doors and has additional seating on the private terrace.
The second floor opens up to a study with a ceiling to floor bookshelf filled with books, music, movies and games. The space is complete with an antique writing desk where Internet access is available -- so bring your laptop.
The spacious master suite includes French doors opening onto a private beachfront terrace and king-size bed framed with a headboard of antique doors. A sky-lit bathroom, oversized shower and picture window overlooking an upstairs garden complete this master spa.
Two beachfront bedrooms offering panoramic views of the bay and beach are nothing short of amazing. Each offer queen beds, hand crafted headboards and stunning tile bathrooms. These bedrooms open up to an enormous and exclusive ocean front balcony, which runs the span of the home complete with chaise lounges and ceiling fans.
All bedrooms feature hand-crafted armouries and bedside tables from San Miguel de Allende and beautiful curtains with blackout shades for those late sleepers.
The rooftop open-air seating area shaded with a tropical canopy offers a 360-degree view of the Caribbean on one side and jungle on the other. You can relax on the couches, lie in a Mayan hammock, gaze at the stars and wonder why you would ever want to leave such a magical place.

Casa Maravilla is truly PARADISE, and for 6 girlfriends it was a beautiful relaxing place to rekindle friendship and bonds. With happy hearts we leave Casa Maravilla full of great memories and hopes for a return.What a wonderful, restful and fun week we had... from snorkeling to sunning, to reading good books, to watching the sunrise in the morning and the hermit crabs come out at night to listening the laughs of our kids and especially to the incredible warmth and hospitality of Marta and Luis.We cannot say enough about these marvelous people who made us feel so special all week long.You have and incredible home and your extra special touches showed through each and every day.Thank you for a great week we'll never forget.We look forward to returning and to enjoying Casa Maravilla, Soliman Bay, (And no, we are not ready to return home!)

Thank you for a fabulous week in paradise! Everything was wonderful. Next time we are not going to leave the comforts of the Villa. Marta and Luis were beyond great, we have never eaten so many amazing meals in one week. Their hospitality and extraordinary care were above and beyond what we could have expected. What a great stay! Villa Maravilla more than lived up to our expectations. The house is particularly well designed. The furniture and fixtures are so cool, it makes a big difference. As much as the house is great, we now know what really makes the Villa Maravilla so special. Marta and Luis... They are simply great! They are welcoming, friendly, hard workers, great cooks and now friends. We are now hooked, we will be back. Thank you very much for everything.

A million thanks for a wonderful stay at Casa Maravilla. The house is beautiful, wonderful details and furnishings all the comforts of the home and more... like a gorgeous beach, sunsets and a beautiful bay. The whole family had a wonderful time, from massages under the palapa, sea kayaking out to the reef, sand castles and collecting shells, sumptuous meals cooked by Marta and Luis, and just plain relaxing in the wonderful weather. We would really like to thank Marta and Luis for all their help, hospitality and kindness. We were well taken care of. The memories we will keep of Villa Maravilla are many and they are all good!
