  My first time to PR with my family. I didn't know what to expect however it turned out to be the perfect vacation. The place was like home for the 4 of us with plenty of room. Otto seems to know all the good spots to go for rec and food and my wife's favorite "shopping". Otto knows where the good eats are at too. The beach was a few minutes away by foot. Nice views at night at the beach. Airport is only minutes away by car. This is my Home away from Casa when I go to San Juan. Otto, your the best and hope to stay at your place again soon.

  I stayed at Otto's place for 7 nights and was very happy with my decision. It is within driving distance to all the hot spots in San Juan and the surrounding area and is a very comfortable place to go kick back after a long day. I was in the apartment next door to the reviewer who experienced problems with the Internet in late April. In contrast, we had no problems with the wireless for the duration of our stay. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family and would stay there again should I ever return to PR.

• Nice neighbourhood

  We had a good stay over all. The major problems for us were the lack of daylight or any view in the living room and the kitchen (the photos don't show this), and the internet. Internet was so slow that it was practically unusable throughout most of our stay (way beyond the lower speeds experienced in the islands). We had checked about high-speed internet prior to booking the place and so this was problematic for us since my partner couldn't keep up with his business. Beyond that, it's a descent place located in a good neighbourhood.

  Owner response: Hello, I just want to indicate to potential customers that we have been in business for several years and we have received hardly any complaints about our internet service. You can read our reviews from several years. We pay for the most expensive service on the island. When this guest called me I immediately called the internet company and on ther voice directory they indicated they were having technical problems in 6 neighborhoods surrounding our property. I mentioned to our guest that if there is trouble in six areas, there is a system wide problem and there was nothing I could do. I apologized, but this has only happened a few times in many years. I followed up with the guest in the other apartment a day later and they indicated no problems. Regarding the light in the living room, there is a large window above the tv that can be opened for fresh air and natural light, a skylight that illuminates the adjacent kitchen area and a huge 5 ft x 9 foot window in the bedroom that will also illuminate the living room if the door is left open. Most guests tell me the apartment is quite cheery and colorful. I'm happy to provide more detailed photos for interested guests. The other window on the other side of the living room is partially obscured. Most of our guests come to our property because we advertise a quiet residential area. However, a few of our guests have unfortunately badly disrespected our request for courtesy to our neighbors and had very loud activities into the early morning hours, disturbing our neighbor. So to allow our guests more leeway to enjoy their tv and social activities in peace, this is a compromise we've taken to keep everyone happy. You will also see there are hardly any comments about the apartment being dark or dimly lit in several years of comments. I'll be contacting this guest to issue a partial refund for their inconvenience with the internet during their stay.

  This is a clean, nice place to stay at a very reasonable price. Comfortable for a family of five with the pull out bed. Would be very spacious for a couple. The neighborhood is quiet and secluded, but is close to lots of restaurants, activities and beach. The maps, directions and restaurant and activity suggestions from the owner are detailed and very helpful. He was also available by cell phone if we needed anything, and was very welcoming and hospitable. We will stay here again when we visit San Juan!

  The apartment was just as advertised with no surprises. I would recommend renting a car if you stay here. We had a wonderful time, and Otto had sent us a packet of info about the area with some really good recommendations for places to go and restaurants to eat at (although it needs to be updated. We went to the place he listed as having the best paella for $40 for 2 people, but it was actually $52). It's only about a 3 minute walk from a beautiful beach where the locals go (not too crowded with tourists). Thanks, Otto!

  Clean and safe. Walk to beach & supermarket. Full kitchen. Quiet neighborhood in the evening. Condado area just a short drive away. Off street parking for your rental. Loved the Owner, Otto. Plenty of towels supplied. Walkin, No stairs.

  Otto's place was better than we expected lots of room and very clean the kids loved the big screen TV and all the channels after a long day at the beach which is only a few blocks away. We never rented a car every thing you need is near by and with in walking distance. The neighborhood is safe and well lit. We would definetly stay there again. Since we didnt have a car Otto offered to give us a ride if we needed one. There is a big grocery store less than a block away. Thanks for every thing Otto!!

  We all (four adults with a grandchild of 3yrs) stayed at the apartment 6 - 9 November 2009. The apartment contains all the necessary items for all of us to feel very comfortable. In my case the nice sized LCD TV with nice assortment of cable channels... Just felt right at home.... Even though we talked for a very short time, Otto was very courteous and pleasant and made you feel right at home. Next time I visit Puerto Rico, there is no doubt that I will call again. I recommend the location to everyone. Don't forget to bring the Map you receive from Otto to reach the location. We had GPS which directs you to some roads which are closed..together with the map we arrived fast to the location. The Map is well documented and the step by step directions/instructions are very well written. Definitely a nice safe place to stay....

  I loved this place and am glad we chose the property for our family trip. The apartment was great and clean with everything we needed. The beach was very close and there was some stores open 24 hours close by since we happen to be night owls. The area was safe and quiet also. The landscape of the property was wonderful and the lizards were a trip. I will miss going to sleep to the sounds of the coquis at night. Otto is amazing and we really appreciated the itenerary we received and used it often. Thank you so much Otto and look forward to visiting this apartment again in the futre.
