Perched on a lush hillside overlooking a tranquil bay, this entire jungle lodge is yours. The two bedroom house, three private cabins and main lodge building were 'handmade' in 2001 using sustainably sourced local hardwoods and have been specifically designed to allow you to experience the wonder of the natural environment without sacrificing comfort. A butterfly farm, cacao (chocolate) grove and organic tropical gardens are yours to enjoy and your private boat captain is on-hand to whisk you off to spectacular Caribbean beaches and snorkeling sites.
La Loma's 23 hectares stretch up from the mangroves of Bahia Honda through tropical forest to the highest point on Bastimentos Island. Accessible only by boat, La Loma offers peaceful isolation from the bustle of Bocas town. The land borders the spectacular National Marine Park and idyllic white sand beaches are only a 5-minute boat journey away.
The lodge, main house and 3 cabins are each nestled in a private location surrounded by verdant jungle. Using indigenous Ngobe Indian architecture as inspiration, we've created beautifully simple and comfortable retreats. Each building has a private bathroom with hot water shower and furniture crafted from local materials. |
