We stayed two nights in this lovely cabin. The description and amenities of the cabin fit the web description! The cabin is very spacious and clean and we found ourselves using both the living room and family room/dining room areas when lounging around. I really enjoyed the space! We had fires in the fireplace both nights and the living room was roomy, yet cozy. A plus is that wood and kindling were readily available by the front door. The cabin is near a creek so the sounds when sitting outside under the beautiful trees are really nice. The neighborhood is quiet, and as we walked through the neighborhood, people waved and everyone was friendly. We felt safe. The location is close to multiple hiking trails, stores, and restaurants. It was very easy to clean up the cabin as we were leaving, and I would definitely stay here again. The only reason this cabin is a ‘4’ and not a ‘5’ is that this is not a ‘view’ property. However, we were seldom home during the day! Thus, if you want some room to spread out, a kitchen that is well organized and easy to use, close location to all kinds of activities in this part of Oregon, please rent this cabin.

My family and I stayed here for 2 consecutive summers. The home is roomy and the kitchen has everything you need for cooking. You can hear the Sandy River which is very relaxing. The neighborhood is friendly with little traffic and my kids loved biking the neighborhood. We enjoyed the local restaurants, library, fireworks in Sandy, and more!

This home more than met our expectations. It is in a great location, far enough from cities, but near enough to immediate needs. It is quiet, clean, spacious, and very comfortable. There are so many things to do and see within a short distance and at various degrees of effort. The owner gave us many helpful ideas for entertainment, but I recommend stopping by the Ranger Station a few miles down Route 26. The people there can give you details about the level of difficulty involved in the trails and hiking experiences. I can't wait to come back. Thanks David!!

My husband, two teens and myself stayed at the Sandy River Ski house for a week in April. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the house is; clean, comfortable and roomy. The price was very reasonable as well. The owner was great to work with and gave us lots of ideas for things to do while in the area. It is in a great spot to see the sights on and around Mt. Hood. If we travel to the area again, we will not hesitate to stay there.
Owner response:Glad to assist all my guests to have an enjoyable time in the Mount Hood area.

I have taken my family here twice now, the owner is very nice and the house is well cared for. Very spacious and lots of room for family members. About 30 minutes from Meadows for skiing and only 10-15 from ski bowl depending on traffic.

We used this property for a four day, three night family getaway over Thanksgiving. It worked perfect for the five of us, and its always great to find a place where we can also bring our dogs. We took advantage of being so close to so much great outdoor recreation by snowshoeing and sledding in some nearby areas. The place was just as described, easy to find, clean, and plenty comfortable. Perhaps we'll find a chance to stay there again.

With our family having a reunion in the Portland area we needed a place to stay so when we found the Sandy River Ski house we were very excited. It was a perfect fit. The house is located in a very quiet area, but close enough to stores, resturants, and the Portland area for all our needs. It was clean and will maintained with plenty of room for all. The kitchen is quite large and well supplied as were the 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. The grandsons, ages 8 and 10, along with their dad enjoyed the walk to the Sandy River along the trail from the house. Should the need arise we would stay here again.

I stayed here in the summer and it was a perfect spot! There was tons of hiking and activities nearby and there was a river just steps away from the house. The owner, David, is really easy to work with! Next time I travel to the area I will definately be renting this house!!

We came there after having spent two weeks on the East Coast and it was a wonderful time: finally having a real home, cozy and very welcoming. I got to know an owner when I signed a contract two months before we came and he turned out to be extremely friendly. He gave me a lot of information about all the surroundings including a little bit of history and some curiosities and he even showed me the house to make sure we had made a right choice. And we definitely had! The only thing that we really miss there was sauna (we got used to spend our winter vacation in Finland and sauna became part of our holiday stay) But I should say there are two SPA within 1 hour drive: the first one are hot springs in indian reservation and another one - Carson - is in WA close to Columbia River Gorge, a little bit old-fashioned, but very healing. The house itself is very smart planned: there are 3 bedrooms and two of them are located in two opposite sides of the house. There are also two bathrooms, which makes it easier waking up all at the same time. A rocking chair and a nice collection of videotapes make winter evenings more beautiful. There is a river very close to the cottage and we had our morning walk down the river together with a neighbour;s dog. And Mt Hood is around 20 min away with all its breathtaking views and first-class ski resort. We would definitely come back one day.

My family was lucky enough to have chosen to stay at the Sandy River Ski House last winter for a week. It was as advertised- very clean, well maintained and appointed, and very close to a lot of amenities our family was interested in which are fairly diverse. I can’t say enough about how happy we all were with our choice to stay at the Sandy River Ski House. When one chooses a place they haven’t stayed at before there is always a bit of hesitation involved but I can honestly say we were all pleasantly surprised. The owner was very friendly and told us a lot of information of the local area which made our stay a lot more interesting and enjoyable. We all give the Sandy River Ski House two thumbs up!
