Thank you so much for opening your beautiful home for us to use this week. We all had a wonderful time. Fun taking our boat out, swimming, and catching some fish and sunshine!! The most fun was watching our 3 1/2 month granddaughter experience the lake for her first time! What wonderful memories...we hope to return next year!!Did you find this review helpful? This is the second time we have come to SML and stayed at your townhouse. The second time around was just as wonderful as the first! Thank you for a clean and well-stocked (not to mention comfortable) place to visit. We love the new stove and washer/dryer- also the new sink cabinet downstairs. Thanks for sharing your home with us.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The property listing was totally accurate. We were quite pleased to find it a very clean and comfortable home. The neighborhood is well maintained, and we found it quite peaceful during our off season stay. The Smith Mountain Lake access is perfect. What a great view to wake up to each morning! It was too cold for lake activities during our visit, but we would love to return and take advantage of what SML has to offer. We did spend a day at the Booker T. Washington museum and walked the trails. Found it to be an educational and beautiful resource. We visited some local restaurants too. All good. Communication with the property owner was excellent. We were provided everything we needed to know about the property and procedures for our stay. It was reassuring. A very nice home away from home.Did you find this review helpful? The rental property at 219364 was just great! The home was very clean and my 73 year old mother stated that the beds were very comfortable. My husband was surprised with the home and we have already started to make plans to return with other couples. We loved the water view in the am from the bedroom deck and enjoyed a great eatry in town. We are from Williamsburg, VA however we are sharing our information with others because the ride was not bad and we also enjoyed eating at Sweet Frog. The bathrooms were wonderful and we loved the lighting in the family room. Thank you for making graduation celebrations wonderful!Owner response: Thank you for your kind words! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay, and would love to welcome you back for another visit!

It is my pleasure to write a glowing review about our recent stay here... Prior to our arrival, our hostess Kathy, was very helpful, responsive, and professional in handling all aspects of our planning. She was also just as helpful on our arrival day, and available by phone or email should we have needed her while staying at her home. The townhouse itself is exactly as described! It was IMMACULATE upon our arrival, the furnishings are tasteful and well taken care of, and the beds are VERY comfortable.. The views from the 2 balconies and 1 patio are amazing....through the day and into the evening. We spent quite alot of time on the main floor balcony enjoying the sunrises/sunsets over the water each day. We trailered in our 24ft boat and had great instructions on where to launch, park our trailer, and tie up our boat. It was important for us to have access to a dock, and upon returning from skiing, wakeboarding, and tubing, we would jump off the dock into the lake for a final swim each day. We also explored much of the lake from our boat... cruising to the damn, visiting various marinas, finding coves to float in, and eating at waterfront restaurants. We even parked at a marina to play miniature golf! That was quite a hit with the kiddos!! The grocery stores, gas stations, and other stores of convenience were easily accessible for our main shopping, and then things we needed to pick up through the week. Also, we had a tire blowout on our trailer on the way up.... we were able to order and pick up a new tire at a fabulous shop just 15 minutes away! We could not have enjoyed a better trip. Never having visited SML, I feel like we were so fortunate to have found Kathy's home and been able to stay there. We had the BEST time and look forward to returning for many years!!! We are already planning another visit this fall!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
