The Trent-Severn Waterway beings just 2 miles away in Port Severn. Honey harbor is also nearby and provides a gateway to the open waters of Georgian Bay and the Georgian Bay Islands National Park.
Within three miles of the cottage are a fine sailboat outfitter Quiet Waters) and right next to it, Swift Canoe & Kayak outfitters.
Also nearby and easily accessible are Midland and Penatanguishene, the biggest towns in the area, with major shopping opportunities, movie theaters and frequent festivals and activities, as well as fine dining. Tourist attractions include Sainte-Marie Among the Hurons, Discovery harbor, Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre, and access to the Miss Midland 30,000 Islands Boat Cruises (2 1/2 hour cruise on Georgian Bay).

- Our large dock is your launching point to unlimited water sports! The cottage is just two miles from the trailhead of the Tay Shore Trail, a 20 kilometer paved bike path that leads all the way from Waubaushene to Midland along the shore of Georgian Bay. Within three miles of the cottage are a fine sailboat outfitter (Quiet Waters) and right next to it a canoe and kayak outfitter (Swift Canoe & Kayak). Also nearby and accessible are Midland, Penetanguishene and Honey Harbour, and the major tourist attractions of The Big Chute, Georgian Bay Islands National Park, Sainte-Marie Among the Hurons, Martyrs Shrine, Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre, Discovery Harbour and access to the Georgian Bay cruises offered from the town docks in Midland and Penetang.
