Welcome to our island home in sunny Poipu. Recently remodeled and decorated with a Hawaiian Beach House theme. The house is located on the sunny south side of Kauai, in the heart of Poipu, at 1704 Pe'e Road. Our home sits amongst year round residents which provides a nice private setting just a short walk from the Resort areas. Sitting on almost one half acre, the house and its rolling front lawn overlook the beautiful Pacific. We are approimately 75 feet above sea level and about 50 yards to the water's edge. A beautiful cove sits directly in front of the property. Whale watching, November thru April. Dolphins and turtles year-round. Enjoy the views from any room or relax on the lanai.
With hardwood floors throughout, open beam ceilings, a king-size bed, a queen, and sleeper sofa. There are two bathrooms. The trade winds keep the house cool. The amenities provide all the comforts of home.
Brennecke'e Beach and Poipu Beach Park is a 5 minute walk to the west. This park has a wonderful children's swimming area as well as adult swimming, snorkeling, surfing, body boarding and scuba diving. Shipwreck Beach, the Poipu Bay Golf Course-home of the PGA Grand Slam and the Grand Hyatt Resort & Spa, and a public beach park is a 10 minute walk to the east. The Perfect Place

I stayed here for 6 nights and then moved to the Grand Hyatt for the last few nights I was in Kauai for my brother's wedding. (He was married at the Grand Hyatt). My only regret was that I did not stay longer at the house. It is centrally located and in a quiet neighborhood-I never slept so well. From the house it is almost equal distance to Waimea Canyon and the North Shore. There are many great restaurants close by and Brennecke's is within walking distance. The house is comfortable and has every amenity you can think of. I did not want to leave. The house is very clean and well-maintained. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone thinking about going to Kauai and with any luck some day soon I will be able to return! This property would be great for two couples as each bedroom is at the opposite end of the house with each bedroom having a bathroom either en suite or close by and each bedroom really has it's own living area with a sofa/t.v. etc.as well. The view from the house (and you have a view from every room) of the ocean and the sunsets each evening were wonderful. The only draw back and this would hardly be a deterrent for me to return to this property is that you had to walk about 5 minutes to the beach.

Our week at your beach home was memorable. It exceeded our expections and was close to all of our favorite beaches. The decor was very tasteful and looked like it was done by a professional. It exuded the ambiance of days gone by. The home reminded me of the beach homes of my childhood. The great ocean view was wondeful to wake up to and to enjoy at sunset. Thank you for such a wonderful time. Kip

My husband and I stayed at the house for a week in late-May 2011. The house was really spacious, clean and comfortable. The views to the ocean and the constant ocean breezes were ideal and very relaxing. The location within walking distance to the beach and Brenneke's was nice and Poipu is a nice location to access other sites (via car) on the island. We had two friends come stay with us for part of our visit and the guest bedroom layout was really nice since there is good distance between the master bedroom and the guest room. Kim was really responisve throughout the process and all in all it was a GREAT, relaxing stay on Kauai. What an amazingly beautiful island!
Owner response:Thank you for the wonderful comments. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay on the beautiful island of Kauai

Lovely Kauai Home

Myself and friends stayed a week in March, 2011 to celebrate my 60th birthday. We found this home very spacious and perfect for the 4 of us. We loved the location, which is close to the ocean and restaurants. We especially loved eating breakfast out on the front deck and ending the day there to watch the sunset. The barbeque was great. We grilled a lot of fresh fish! The home has separate living spaces if you have more than 2 people, which we found helpful. The only disappointment we had was when we wanted to use the tub to take a bath and found the water turned off to it. Knowing how precious water is on Kauai, we could somewhat understand. We also couldn't find a cutting board in the kitchen. These are minor things, and I would highly recommend a stay at this lovely home.
Owner response:We are pleased that you had a such a nice time in our home. The tub referenced above is a soaking tub that rarely gets used. There is however an additional tub in the front bath that is fully functional. As far as the cutting board, there is a telephone number to our housekeeper, Shannon posted on the refrigerator for guests that can not find or need any incidentals during their stay.

PRIVATE SUNNY BEACH HOUSE WITH AMAZING VIEW

I stayed at this property in mid April for a week. I was pleasantly surprised at how peaceful and private this property is, with it's large open grassy yard in front of the house which leads to a view of the ocean from several windows. Outside, we were welcomed by a comfortable inviting patio table and chairs where we shared our morning coffee, listening to the birds and ocean, as we watched the sun fill the skies over us and the ocean. We even saw whales from our patio at this time of year! In the afternoons, we returned from our daily outings to find a breezy comfortable quiet retreat awaiting us. After our exciting ocean Zodiac snorkeling cruise, or amazing helicopter ride, or our quick trips to the local market or "Costco" or Walmart for supplies, food, and liquid refreshments...it was nice to come "home". This house has a beachy, open, relaxed feeling with plenty of space and room to lounge around. The kitchen is well organized and equipped with modern/new appliances and every cooking utensil we could possibly need to prep a meal, cocktail, or BBQ. The beds were VERY comfortable and the rooms were spacious and roomy, each equipped with it's own TV. The master suite has a bed and cozy couch with relaxing lounge area and TV. The family room has it's own couch/bed and TV, and there's another separate room that sleeps 2 with a TV. There are 2 full bathrooms. Nearby our house, I was thrilled to find (within 5 minutes walking distance) the sandy expanse of Poipu Public beach along with the Mariott hotel, restaurants, and Breneke beach shop which offers cute swimwear and clothing and cheap snorkeling/board equipment rentals. Another day we took a longer walk to the nearby Hyatt and gardens, enjoyed a cocktail, scoped out some of the high-end shops, and walked by Shipwreck beach, and golf course. There is a lot to see and do that was within walking distance, but having a car was nice to get to other parts of the island. Staying here allowed me to marvel at the "jungle" like sights/sounds of the island and catch a glimpse of the local lifestyle away from the nearby hotel and condos. It's the perfect retreat . The well thought-out amenities insure guests are provided with everything they need for a comfortable, affordable, relaxing stay. This was my first time to Kauai, and I'm told we were at the "sunny" side of the island which was very delightful and absolutely true! I would recommend this home to family/friends.
Owner response:Thank you for the review. We are so happy to hear you had such a good time. Kauai is a beautiful place.
