CASA LOMA is a unique one story 95+ year old miners cabin located within the town of Red River. Although the location is very convenient and the exterior is attractively quaint, the condition of the interior was very disappointing. You could say it’s rustic, truth is it is rundown. The sitting area, which was the center of the house, was comfortable and roomy. All the bedrooms, kitchen and dining area surrounding it were unlevel with irritatingly squeaky floors. The bunk beds in one room were so rickety and dangerous, we abandoned them after a few minutes for an ultra-firm futon. The king-sized bed sleeps with your feet about three inches lower than your head. The dining table also slants downhill. This was a disappointing experience.Did you find this review helpful? WE LOVED THIS PLACE! IT HAS BEEN UPDATED SINCE WE FIRST STAYED THERE. THE CABIN HAS THE ROUGH BARK EXTERIOR. THE LIVING ROOM IS VERY LARGE. THERE IS A SEPERATE AREA WITH A PASS THROUGH THAT CAN BE USED AS A BEDROOM, WHICH WE DID WITH A BLOW UP BED. THE TUB IS SMALL BUT IT GETS YA CLEAN. THE CABIN SITS UP AT THE END OF HIGH STREET AND YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING. THERE IS A SLIDING DOOR AND BIG WINDOW I THIS ROOM. I WISH I HAD MY PICTURES TO SHARE WITH YOU. THE PLACE LOOKS SMALL. DO NOT BE FOOLED!THEY USED TO HAVE A BOOK THAT PEOPLE WOULD WRITE IN. VERY GOOD READING.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 14/16
