This beautiful nest had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation. We came to the Olympic Peninsula to see the sights and the national parks. We took several day trips and it was so nice to come back to such a great place. The apartment had everything we needed. The kitchen was stocked with many things we needed for cooking, including fresh eggs from the chicken coop in the back yard. The bathroom had many essentials in case we forgot anything. The bed amazingly comfortable, I slept so well. The chickens were a lot of fun to watch when we were there and the view of the mountains was spectacular. Also the wood burning stove really made the nest so comfortable and homey. We didn't want to leave! Jeanette & Scott were very kind & helpful. The location was great for us because there were several restaurants very close by (Sabai Thai, Toga's Soup House and Gastropub were out favorites), grocery stores, coffee shops, book shops, outdoor stores and the ferry to Victoria. We went to Ediz Hook in Port Angeles every evening to see the birds and look for seals who frequent the harbor. The view of the mountains from Ediz Hook was incredible (when the clouds let up) and we didn't see them as well anywhere else. We also went to Dungeness Spit in Sequim where we saw a lot of wildlife. The trails were beautiful. We drove to Neah Bay via Highway 12 which was an amazing experience. The Cape Flattery trail at the Makah reservation was really incredible. There was so much we loved about our trip but the most important part was having such a lovely place to stay. The experience at the cozy nest for two was really wonderful. Ryan & Nina: New York

We found this place online, and absolutely loved our stay there. It is a very welcoming vacation home, and the owner is very friendly. She has raspberry bushes in the backyard and you can grab some if in season. It is extremely clean and just a very pleasant experience overall.

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Thank you for a very comfortable place to stay while we checked out Port Angeles as a place to retire. We loved the fresh eggs, watching the chickens and your generosity with advise about the city in general. Thank you for your hospitality! We loved the fresh eggs and other provided groceries. It left more time to explore, which we did plenty of! We visited Hurricane Ridge, Salt Creek Recreation Area, Crescent Beach and Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge. At the end of each day, we came 'home' to this cozy and intimate place with our hearts and spirits lighter. We had a wonderful time and will recommend Kiwi West to all our friends! What a wonderful place to start our 8 day trip to the Pacific Northwest! I wish we could stay here the whole time! So comfortable! Our 11 month old had everything he needed. Love the fresh eggs. This was definately a home away from home. Everything you could wish for was prorvided including fresh eggs from the chickens that had free range of the back yard. We spent two wonderful weeks there while touring Olympia National Park and the surrounding area. A lovely place to stay. Excellent location to explore the Olympic Park from and good local amenities. Kiwi West is a great place to stay offering all the creative comforts we would wish for. Hannah, our 14mth old daughter loved the place especially chasing the chickens. During our 3 night stay we visited the Rain Forest, Ruby Beach, Hurricane Ridge (go late evening for the best weather), Lake Cresent (nice walk) Crescent Beach & Elwha Dam. Jeanette & Scott both made us feel very welcome and could not do enough for us to make it even better. We wished we could stay longer. We had a great time.

I am in love with Kiwi West! I cannot think of a more charming and comfortable place to stay for the Lavender Festival! I wish I could have stayed longer. Hurricane Ridge & Sequim were lovely, but my favorite thing was sipping tea with the chickens in the mornings. :) Thank you!!

A great place to return after a day of fun; minutes from town, an ideal "base camp" for exploring the Oylmpic National Park. Jeanette and Scott are gracious hosts. Wonderfully friendly, accomodating and helpful; there are thougtful touches like a fire ready to be lit upon arrival, amazingly fresh eggs and milk in the fridge, fresh fruit... what a welcome! The apartment is comfortable, clean, private and quiet; everything I hoped it would be. We'll definetely be back.

This house was more home to us. My 4yr old twins declared they were here to stay the moment they walked in to the backyard- the massive trampoline, the swingset, the hens, the hammock, the pear-tree laden with pears were enough to keep them occupied (thank God- 'cos that gave us time to relax). Great collection of books, DVDs (loved the one that gave more insight into the local native Indian tales). Janette the owner was very thoughtful and accomodating of our dealyed arrival schedule. The kitchen was well stocked with the littlest knick-knacks (including milk and fresh eggs). I'd highly recoomend the place esp for folks with young kids. Look forward to returning very soon for a longer stay.
