This Craftsman guest house is perfect for any family wishing to experience the best of Santa Monica and Venice. We're located three blocks from the beach, walking distance to Venice Beach and the Santa Monica Pier and 1.5 blocks from Main Street. On Main Street is fabulous shopping, famous restaurants (like Wolfgang Puck's Chinois) and one of LA's best Farmer's Markets on Sunday mornings.
The house is going to be completely renovated by April 2010. We've added a dishwasher and a larger TV in the bedroom.
The bathroom is off the main bedroom. The bunk bed in the second bedroom is a twin over full, so it can accommodate three people. We also offer a crib and high chair at no extra charge. Most importantly, we live in the front house so we're available to help you if you need it and can help you plan your Los Angeles/Santa Monica vacation.
The house has two HDTV's -- one in the living room and one in the master bedroom. Both have satellite and both get HBO in addition to hundreds of other channels. There's also a DVD player, games and books so you'll never be bored.
The kitchen has service for 12, so you won't have to wash dishes after every meal. We've also left some snacks and other essentials in the kitchen for you.
The bedrooms all have super-comfortable matresses and down-like comforters. Both bedrooms, the living room and the office area have ceiling fans to keep the tempurature comfortable.
We provide the shampoo, conditioner and body wash as well as luxurious towells. We even have beach towells so you don't have to bring them with you. Plus, there's a washer/dryer just for the house so you don't have to pack so much stuff.

Why the Owner Chose Santa Monica
We love having a guest house in our back yard. The house has it's own entrance on the side of our property, so guests have plenty of privacy. However, it's also nice to share a yard (and sometimes a drink) with our guests as our children play together in the yard.
For those who stay at the house, it's a vacation destination. For us, this is where we live and we love to share our favorite places and activities with our guests.
The Unique Benefits at this Guest House
It's great to be less than a ten minute walk to the beach and a quick bus ride away from the Third Street Promenade. We love that we hardly drive at all on the weekends and yet we can go to great restaurants, visit the Santa Monica Pier, go to the beach and do some fabulous shopping...all walking distance from our house.
The Pier turns 75 this year and is celebrating! Aside from the carousel (seen in movies such as The Sting) there is a small amusement park with rides and games.
Along the boardwalk you can buy virtually anything, find all sorts of exotic (and less exotic) food and see dozens of street performers.

Melissa and Brian always wanted to live by the ocean. When a 1911 Craftsman cottage became available, they bought it right away. "We love living here. We can walk almost everywhere and the weather is nearly perfect all of the time."
