Very creative and private atmosphere for artists, authors and songwriters. Located half a block from the main market, five blocks from the main plaza (jardin). No hills to climb. Lots of gift shopping very close to property. You can learn Spanish at the Academia de las Americas, which is only two blocks from the house.
Also San Miguel de Allende has many fine restaurants ('La Bugambilia' located on Calle Hidalgo and 'El Pegaso' across the street from the Post Office) and they are reasonably priced. Lots of people speak English there and they like it when visitors learn some Spanish. The people are very friendly. You can take lots of day trips to see arts and crafts, ruins and there are also lots of hot springs just outside of San Miguel de Allende. Ask about 'La Gruta' hot springs. |
