We came for Spring Break, planning on hiking but instead we saw snow. We went sledding in Maggie Valley at the Blue Ridge Parkway, it was so much fun (free fun). We had a wonderful meal at the Sweet Onion, everything was great.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

"Every good and perfect gift is from above...James 1:17" Oh my goodness what a perfect and lovely weekend get away. Such a wonderful place for every occasion. Thanks very much... Beautiful snow, you could even gout and see every shape and design of the snowflakes. Such a special weekend with best friends. Would come back in a heart beat. Even Hershey came for a visit. This was the perfect place for a break from the busyness of life! Beautiful snow, great memories...Thanks! Love your mountain home... it's beautiful! Very cozy and homey and a great place for our "mamas get away". Thank you and I will be sure to tell others about your place! We had a wonderful time on our Girls Getaway Weekend! We loved the home! Came up here with all intentions of enjoying the restaurants! But got snowed in and lived on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, coffee and wine! The best trip ever! Fireplace, games and snowball fights! Nothing as great as the living home. So much so, we are coming back in May of this year! Even the neighborhood dog "Hershey" made us feel as if we belonged here. This is a really lovely home, in a very convenient location. The pictures don't do the home justice! The wrap around porch is fantastic, and the interior is clean and very visitor friendly. Lots of games, movies - if you've got time. I would rent this property in the future.Owner response: Thank you for your kind remarks. Thanks so much for a great place to stay in the mountains! This is our 2nd year here and we love it!! Thought we would'nt get here because of snowstorm across the southeast earlier this week but came in Friday afternoon to almost a foot of snow!!! Donna was so helpful bringing shovel and driveway heat out to help us get up hill to cabin!! Great time at Cataloochee and downtown Waynesville!Did you find this review helpful? House is virtually new, open, uncluttered, on a pleasant site. Off the beaten path but easy access to downtown Waynesville, Asheville and BR Parkway. Professional rental agent.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Twin Brook Lodge provided the perfect launching pad for all of our adventures to the park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Cradle of Forestry in America & Asheville. Birthday Celebration (86)- Your home was all that we expected and so much more! Your attention to the details in everything is awesome! We found your special on the internet while we were looking for a home in which to celebrate an 86th birthday in the mountains (last minute plans. There were the 4 of us, 2 lederly (75 & 86) and 2 youngsters (52 & 56) and the accommodations were very comfortable and easy to manuver. It was the perfect way to celebrate! Thank you for helping us make wonderful memories of our mother and aunt (sisters). We would very much like to return again soon with our adult children and families. This home is very comfortable, well equipped, well located and spotlessly clean. It was a perfect choice for our all too brief stay in Waynesville. We would have been happy curling up with a book and staying for weeks. Two of the bedrooms are downstairs and the master bedroom is upstairs, which provides nice separation for parents and older children. All the beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. Thanks to the owners for making our stay very special!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We truly enjoyed our stay here! Your home is beautiful! It allowed us to enjoy our daughter's graduation from WCU with family and friends in a home environment instead of sestaurants and hotels. Dwaine – We thoroughly enjoyed our time at your house in Waynesville – it was a perfect place for our family to stay for a course I was attending at HR health and fitness center. My husband and daughter took the train from Bryson City to Nantahala on Saturday and enjoyed hiking on the closed Blue Ridge parkway in the snow on Sunday. A beautiful home, and very comfortable. We come up every Fall to enjoy hiking, cycling and the beauty of the mountains. This time the leaves glowed in crimson, orange and yellow more brightly. The crisp weather turned frosty last Saturday night and my husband saw his first snow. It really came down and covered the porch, cars and trees. We love this house and found great peace and joy here. It's a haven and sits in a mountain paradise. Blessings abound here. P.S. Barber's apple turnovers, apple cookies and cakes were especially good this year. We discovered Annie's pumpkin cookies in Sylva. Great meals at the Sweet Onion.Did you find this review helpful?
